Review: If you have realistic expectations, this will be much better than you hoped for! - I have seen some reviews criticising this for not being a very good brush cutter which seems foolish as it is not advertised as one. It is a battery strummer which has styling with a nod to brush cutters. Mine was delivered 90 minutes ago, it took 5 minutes to put together as I had to find a screwdriver, it would have been 2 minutes if I’d had one to hand. I’ve tried it out on some fairly thick grass and, while it’s not the quickest, it cut it and is 50 times better than the Bosch battery strimmer that with those silly little plastic blades, that it has replaced. The battery came 77% charged and took about 15 minutes to charge to 100%. I have also ordered the Murray 44cm electric lawnmower which uses the same batteries. That arrives on Tuesday. I have bought it to replace a Cub Cadet self-propelled petrol mower with key start which is very heavy. When we bought it, we had a slope from the top of the garden to the bottom. Thanks to my Wife’s garden design, this is now steps which I now have to carry the Cadet up and down. I am not a delicate little flower but I can do without the weight-lifting. I am really looking forward to the new mower as it will be easy to carry between the 3 lawns. I am not an avid gardener but I like my grass reasonably short however, it doesn’t have to be stripy or as flat as a bowling green. If I’m as impressed with the mower as I am with this strimmer, I’ll be a very happy man. I have given Thickness and Sheerness 5 stars but I have absolutely no idea what these markings mean in relation to a strimmer.

**Q: Hi, is this suitable for cutting really long grass on an allotment?Thanks.**
A: Hi Julie,  It depends a little on your situation, the type of grass and size of the allotment. Although this device is not a heavy duty brush cutter, it certainly can mow taller grass. Make sure you move not too fast otherwise you will clog the trimmer head and you will drain your battery. It will take a little more from the battery anyway as long grass will give you more resistance. The nice thing of the Murray Trimmer is that it features an automatic line feed, so you can keep mowing. Hope this helps!

**Q: Does the battery come precharged?**
A: Hello, the battery comes precharged. We always recommend to charge the battery before first use because its unknown how long the battery has been on its way after its first charge.

**Q: Can you get additional cutting spools or thread**
A: Amazon and UK suppliers out of stock currently with minimum 10 week delivery restock. Suggest buy the string and self spool

**Q: Hi does this come with battery? In description says Included, i read a review and said wasnt included?**
A: You can either buy the trimmer with a battery and charger or without - the price and description will obviously reflect this.  This facility allows buyers who might already have a Murray tool and battery.  When I bought my trimmer I did not pay extra for a battery as I had the Murray lawnmower which came with two 5Ah 18v batteries.  If the description says it has one then rest assured it has.

I have seen some reviews criticising this for not being a very good brush cutter which seems foolish as it is not advertised as one. It is a battery strummer which has styling with a nod to brush cutters. Why did you choose this product over others?: Good price, top reviews Quality: Brilliant quality, battery cuts all my grass paths at my allotment, I lose very little strimmer cord. Design: Feels good in the hand, heavy but not too bad, adjustable height pole, twist the head to strim the path edges. Fast charging, charger and battery in box.
