Wireless IP Camera SUSPEND

This is an extremely good product for the price. Its easy to use and easy to set up. But, I give it 1 star because it quietly sends network (UDP packets) to an IP address in the Netherlands and Singapore. If you are one that can block this type of network traffic, this will work great for you. But, if you cannot block network traffic, you might think twice before purchasing this camera. It could be sending video/pictures or allowing remote control to another country.

I bought a NC300 WIFI PTZ IP Camera" on 06/29/2015, The Audio Intercom feature of this device worked sporadically, and the e-mails upon motion were also not dependably sent. This device not more than a month later, would fail to complete the initialize mode. Rendering it completely useless,I removed the extra length of power supply wire that I had spliced in, and I was able to reset it, It went through the left and right up down initialing process, then I plugged it in to the Ethernet wire, I installed the PC App and found the camera’s IP Address, don’t think I was able to log in although IP Camera search correctly found camera, I then installed the Android App and scanned the qc code again was unable to log in an App said Camera was offline.You can record in three different ways with this WIFi Camera, from the App on the Phone (YIPC) The Desktop App (YIPC) or VIA the Web (Only Using Internet Explorer, Can View on Firefox, but not record),I was not successful in getting the Device to Send E-Mails on Motion Sensing, will revisit that later, I use it to Record Live Events on demand.Recording on this device is flawed, When you Record Using the PC App, the motion is sticky, and not fluid, and the camera takes multiple short vids, some are completely blank, recording with the Android App is a fluid, but sporadic, often quitting recording on it’s own. I’m experimenting with recording via the Web, Will Update later.

I hesitantly ordered this product, based on other reviews. I was skeptical of its performance.I received the camera, neatly packaged, and although I have prime, it took an extra day of processing, not mentioned in the checkout. Amazon's prime delivery guarantee credited me $5 for this inconvenience.Instructions were written in plain English. I don't know what everyone else is complaining about. They were very simplistic with pictures and easy enough for a 3rd grader to follow.Set up the camera in minutes by plugging it in to my router using the included ether net cable. Connected to the Internet, downloaded the YIPC app on my phone. Scanned the QR code and had it fully functional on LAN. Created profiles in the settings of the app, and created separate profiles for my girlfriend and I so we could access the footage at the same time (if you both use the administration account, it will cause connection problems for one device, if not both).At any rate, setting up wifi and moving the camera to another area of the home worked flawlessly. I will say, however, that the quality and response time of the camera was slightly diminished on wifi.Picture quality of the video was fairly good. You can adjust it in settings for worse quality but faster response feed, or better quality with slower feed.The motion sensor alarm is useless, but the main reason I am returning it is because mine would not save the change to turn the infrared sensor off. I wanted to turn it off in order to view outside through a window at night. The infrared caused too much glare. Unfortunately, after hours of clicking the button and hitting save, it would not turn off the infrared sensor.Two way talk was somewhat glitch, but was decent quality when it was working. Panning was very slow to respond.

Let me start off by saying, this camera is not what you want as security for your home or office. Nor would I use this as a monitor for your baby.It is good for if you want to watch your animals create mischief around the house, in an ok resolution. Maybe to watch over a room for a few minutes at a time, while your crazy uncle is around. Or to see the squirrels playing in the back yard while you're at work.The resolution is not great, but decent. The night vision does work pretty well, I'd have to say. I do not like the recording onto your phone, as it takes up space to quickly and only allows up to 15 minutes of recording (after you click record). I could not get the "motion sensor" activation to work at all. The instructions are not great.The app you have to download is awful to work with on the computer and the phone. The live streaming is jumpy, the left/right/up/down adjustment is great to have as an option, but it is slow to react and freezes often. I could also, only get the microphone to work with the computer and not the phone app.Customer service is non-responsive.So, you get what you pay for, as far as a security camera. It's good to have for fun, but I would not buy this as a necessary monitor or security cam.
