Upon receiving and charging up the provided batteries, I tried my other two (2) named brand "Ryobi" batteries that had appeared dead/failed for months, and they instantly charged fully on this charger, and helped me find that my other charger had been broken, but the batteries themselves were still good; so now I have a working charger and FOUR (4) working batteries, but a bad draw!
