Tommy Hilfiger Men's Clips Suspenders - For Dress Tuxedo Pants with Y Back and Adjustable Straps

These are very comfortable and functional, and the option to clip or use the loops is great for a man whose wardrobe is in transition; like most humans, I can't afford to buy all my pants at the sort of place that tailors and puts buttons in upon purchase, so I'm slowly taking in slacks and khakis a few pairs at a time. Swapping from the clips to the loops to go from one pair of pants to another in the morning takes a few extra minutes, which is tiresome, but it's not the product's fault that such versatility comes with such an understandable price.The clips themselves latch and stay very nicely on all my pants save one pair, which is known for rejecting clips from multiple pairs of suspenders. The pants and I are currently in negotiations, but the pants have a strong union rep and I doubt they will be accepting these or any suspender clips any time soon. However, that is also not the product's fault.My only issue is that, when I use the clips, the clip at the rear creates a painful bulge against my spine when I sit in my office chair or my car seat. (I mean the driver's seat of my car, not some kind of gigantic, man-fetish car seat as though for an enormous baby - though I imagine this issue would persist were I to sit in such a seat.) On a medium-length commute, this bulge becomes very uncomfortable, but I find that clipping the rear arm of the suspenders about an inch and a half to the right or left alleviates the issue almost entirely.

He's a pretty decent suspenders. The leather is natural and firm. The suspenders themselves are basic elastic nothing special, but of decent quality. It does come with the clips and loops so you can wear them either way. Mine came with a small package of 6 white buttons. The suspenders themselves are of a pretty good size. I myself I am 6 ft 1, 300 lb and they fit me fine, all be it I'm pretty much let them all the way out with about 1 inch left over. But at that length the elastic was not stretched much at all. The only issue I have is with the clips. Where is there a metal on the outside, they are without the metal alligator tooth Style clip on the inside, but instead it's a circular piece of plastic with ridges. I tried to use them on slacks which were not very thick in the waist band, but several times that day different clips were coming off and had to be reattached. This is not too big of a deal to me because these particular suspenders or purchase to wear with a suit which I will be attaching the button loops to the pants. But I would recommend a stronger clasping set if you were to be using them exclusively with the clips. But honestly, I would imagine a man of Slimmer build might have less of an issue with the clips popping off.

I frequently use a suspender inside my shirt or on top of an undershirt, before I put on a thicker polo or poloshirt. This system beats any good belt. This one is a bad buy for me for that purpose or with normal wear (outside a longsleeves). The suspender is made of very flimsy material, the suspender is re-adjusting by itself as a result. The teeth of the mechanism can't retain its bite lock because the material is too thin. The clip also re-attaches from thin wool pants. This is not a useable product. Fail!

I don't know much about suspenders, but these seem legit to me. I only plan on wearing them several times a year or so. I had buttons sewed on to the inside of my pants (because the clips look cheesy). Worked great, easily adjustable and it feels amazing having your pants held up by your shoulders.

My husband ordered these about 3 months ago and has been using them about once a week. He says they look nice, and so far there haven't been any condition issues that have arisen. However, he feels that the material is thinner, and that they are not as sturdy as the pair he ordered from the Suspender Store. He feels like these ones look more visually pleasing, but they are not designed for durability so much as to look nice while they last.

As I said a couple of months back... very nice, but now I see it is wholly made of inferior materials. The stretchy fabric is not very well woven... the strands are coming out.The leather parts are NOT real leather.The clips don't grab real good... they keep letting go of my trousers/pants waist.The brandless ones I bought for $9.99 at Dillard's years ago are of a more solid construction and hold up better than these.I will not buy new ones of these, unless the price drops below $10.00. Not worth $20+.

Picked these up because they were vegan and seemed like they wouldn't look cheap. They didn't!Wore them to a black-tie wedding in Mexico with a white shirt and danced all night. Didn't notice any of the colour-bleeding that some other reviewers did, and I was working up a healthy sweat. They looked very appropriate with my get-up. I'm not sure how long they'd last with regular wear, but they looked very nice on the night.Perhaps some people will find the convertible aspect of them helpful, but I can't imagine wanting to wear suspenders with anything other than tuxedo pants. But, you know, whatever floats your horse.

Never worn suspenders before until we had a great gatsby themed party. It Feels good but if you have a bit of a gut then it'll hug it more and show it off more. But I like it overall though.

Damn, these just made my whole outfit for the award night. Brown suede Chelsea boots, dark blue wool trousers with check pattern, white dress shirt tucked in with shirt tail garters, and then these bad boys. Got so many compliments you wouldn't believe it. quality is on point, wouldn't say you could beat this for the price.

What a stupid idea , sewing under the top of the X leather 2 pieces of unbrekable material , that i could not remove under the back middle X , labels for washing , for size i think , 2 pieces of unremovable material pending , by trying to remove it , , the leather X is broken , plus pieces of elastics pending now . SORRY BUT ,,,,,, SENDING THEM BACK

Been having a hard time with belts lately as I am becoming obese by most standards. Time for some changes in lifestyle. Until then thought it best to use suspenders for the first time in my life. These are well made. The clasp will grab securely to thicker fabric of or trousers. Unfortunately not so well on thinner fabrics found on summer shorts as they tend to slide off when put under stress which could be embarrassing. If I had to do it over again with the clip on type I would look for something with a heavier clip or the metal hook type that anchor to the belt loops. I have ordered a pair that hooks under the belt to see if they work any better. I could sew on the button anchors that connect to those leather things on the end. Why did they supply the buttons in white I question rather than black or blue to match the suspenders? Only white buttons available at Tommy? Weird.

If you are looking for a pair of braces these will do great. But do yourself a favor and sew some suspender buttons into your trousers so you don't have to use the clips.

One of the longer suspenders available out there on the market especially for heavier set + tall people. The option to switch between Button end or strap is also very convenient. I personally prefer using the buttons as they do not suddenly snap open.

Great look and feel, I genuinely love the style of them, however I do have a few gripes. The metal bits on it came unpolished and looked tarnished. There are a few loose threads on the bands themselves, and the clips are less the satisfactory. The clips are constantly popping off lately after only 1-2 weeks. I've been hit in the face with the metal clip because of this. Some threads on the pants have been pulled and putting a bag of any sort on your back will cause the back to un-snap. I've yet to try out the buttons, however I believe that will fix most of the issues I have. I'd also like to note as others have said they had no issues with the snaps, the material of pants will dictate how effective the suspenders are, I've worn them primarily only on dress/suit pants. I don't regret picking these up, and they've quickly become my favorite accessory. *I'll update this after trying the buttons*

Surprisingly very happy with the price and quality. Not crappy paper-backed material, real stretching fabric. The leather is a nice touch, and you can actually remove the clips should you have suspender buttons on your pants (not having them dangle as you have the hoops in place. Will be buying another pair.
