When taking off in first and then into second gear, you could hear a clakety-clack sound when the car was not fully warmed up. The sound was more noticeable after the clutch was replaced and I thought that soon I would either need to get a new transmission or replace the car. At a stop sign, in neutral, while waiting for the light to change, you could hear strange noises coming from the gear box. They would go away when you depressed the clutch pedal. I decided to give this gear oil a chance. The results were immediate: all the gear noises are gone, shifts are glass smooth. Performance with a cold or warm transmission are excellent. No teeth grinding when shifting.
