We travel a lot (10+ times a year) and I have brought them on every trip. The carry on is exactly that, but if you are a good packer you can get 5+ outfits in there with your needed accessories but maybe only 1 or 2 (sandals) pairs of shoes so throw your extras in with your partner or buy a pair on your trip! Complimented on them everywhere I go, and they are super good quality. This last trip packed a bit too much and one of the corners sprung a bit, the nice thing is that they have the pleather straps so it holds it in place like nothing happened.
