I bought this to help remineralize my teeth. Recent studies have shown theobromine more effective than fluoride to remineralize teeth. Instead of making a special trip to my local Whole Foods to purchase a $10 tube of Theodent toothpaste, I thought I'd try brushing with my toothpaste loaded toothbrush dipped in theobromine powder. Although I've only used it for a few days, I can already tell by the reduction in tooth pain that it is helping. Yes it is bitter, but the toothpaste masks it completely as long as you don't brush your tongue with it. One of these days I'll have to try to whip up my own remineralizing toothpaste with xylitol, clay powder, unrefined salt, and theobromine.
