The combo worked well, but the bottom mat got so stinky, my husband finally told me to get rid of it. I would agree with other reviews that it is on the heavier side, but if you're just walking from car to studio, it's not a big deal. I sweat A LOT and so far this mat has worked really well. I don't have a problem slipping and it's very soft and cushy. I do lay it out after practice to dry and it seems to dry quickly and so far no smell, but I've only used a couple of times. I have sprayed a natural Norwex cleaning spray with enzymes on it after to hopefully help with any bacteria or funk. Added bonus is the circle up top that helps with centering and alignment. I’m not the strongest nor most flexible yogi, so worried I would slip too, but I sweat, so hoped that would keep me in place...and why I need this mat. I was so excited to use it when it arrived today, even though my routine this afternoon was “expand”, so lots of standing poses and no sweat, however I did not slip a bit. It’s heavy, solid rubber, but the top is so luxuriously soft. The cushioning rubber as well as fabric top cradled my feet. Wonderful experience. It smells of a bit of rubber when your face is directly on it (prepping for lotus pose) but that will release with time. Can’t wait to do the energetic stuff that makes me sweat (and slip and slide on a regular mat). I highly recommend this mat, oh, and it’s beautiful to look at too. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very impressive *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2018* I really like this mat for power and hot yoga. I sweat a great deal during my practice and even high-end rubber mats, like Manduka or Jade, did not always work well for me. I have also used similar "composite" mats with microfiber terry cloth, but they tend to soak up a lot of sweat, get sloppy and tend to smell over time, even if you wash them. This mat provides great grip and cleans up well. Before practice I spritz some water or mat cleaner on it to improve the grip. So far, I am quite happy with the mat's quality, its look and its value.
