Instead, I removed the front roof panels and removed all but the rearmost two bolts holding the hard top on. After loosening the two remaining bolts, I used blocks cut from a 2x4 to prop up the front edge of the hard top. This provided enough room to get all of the fill strips and panels in place. Two of the fill strips (part "I") were missing from my kit; otherwise, it was perfect. I chose to install without waiting for a reply from the manufacturer regarding the missing strips... I live in South Florida and driving home from dealership I realized this is going to need some type of inside insulation before summer. I scoured the internet and this company (DEI) kept coming up as the best. So I ordered the kit in a couple days it came. Next day I followed instructions and began installing panels took a little over an hour and half (take your time). Looked incredible and fits well, but the next day would tell it if it works. Well it hit a record 96 degrees I got in and knew it felt a lot cooler than without panels. I turned the AC on and within 10 minutes of driving I could turn it on low whereas before it wouldn’t keep really cool on high! I’m sold costs a little more but money was well spent! Also makes sounds system and conversations sound way better too! These are precision cut, and fit great. They make a huge difference on the heat radiating from the top, and they help a lot with noise too. Let's be honest, nothing is going to make a Jeep JLU quiet inside like any normal SUV, but these definitely help. (I have a Yukon XL Denali, and the first two times my wife rode in the new Jeep, she asked if all the doors and windows were closed... (They were, LOL)) Do take the top off and set it upside down on a blanket to make installation easy. Test fit each piece before removing the backing paper so you know where to place it for real. Once it is stuck down, it is NOT moving again!
