## Description

desertcart.com : Honest Amish Beard Balm Leave-in Conditioner - Made with only Natural and Organic Ingredients - 2 Ounce Tin | Shea Butter, Coconut Oil & Argan Oil Blend Softens and Conditions for Smoother Daily Beard Styling : Beauty & Personal Care

Review: Comment on most reviews! - Here is the description people: Honest Amish Beard Balm is created from the finest organic ingredients available. We start with a proprietary blend of hair strengthening botanical infused in a base of Virgin Argan, Avocado, Almond, Virgin Pumpkin Seed, and Apricot Kernel Oils. It is then masterfully crafted with fruit and nut butters (Shea, Aloe, Cocoa, Kokum, to name a few), and hair enhancing essential oils. Subtle scents of Cedarwood, Anise (licorice), and Clove. We recommend that people with nut allergies avoid this product or test a small amount before application. Honest Amish Beard Balm will help soften, condition, dry splitting hairs, and nourish new growth. Our balm is also very conditioning for your skin and will stop the itching caused by new growth and wild rogue hairs. Due to the use of only natural ingredients in our beard balm, separation of the product may occur when exposed to fluctuations in temperature. The beard balm will continue to work as normal; it will just require a few extra seconds of manipulation when melting in your hands. However, to return it back to a smooth consistency it can be melted back down by placing the beard balm in a warm place (direct sun light, in car, heater vent, etc. Do not use open flames, microwaves, or stove tops) Once melted, secure the lid on your beard balm and shake it up, mixing up all the oils. Then allow to cool to room temperature or place in refrigerator for faster solidification. Beard Balm may liquefy in transit USE CAUTION WHEN OPENING. We use absolutely NO man made chemicals or preservatives and NO fake fragrances or colorants in any of our products. Packaged in a 100 percent recyclable tin. Made in The U.S.A. by hand for an honest wage. If you are not 100 percent satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please return it for a full refund. With that said. It explains most of your complaints in the 3% and 7% categories. My review so far: *Consistency is exactly what is expected for balm. *Scent is great and have gotten a ton of feedback from peers and family. Smells great, bottom line. *Stops itching as noted as it gets to the root of your beard. Just make sure you put a little bit on your fingers then rub it around to make it clear, then apply throughout your beard and to the roots of your beard. Important. *I use a beard brush to manage my curly beard and is recommended as I saw complaints in the poor reviews about this. If you have stray hairs, train them with a beard brush and a blow dryer on medium heat, not HOT! Overall, this is a great beard balm! Natural, full of fine ingredients and made in USA. Not sure where the tin is made, but probably Chinese(I would like clarification on this). Looks to be aluminum tin but not sure. In then end for those that say it does not work, opinionated statement and based on your beard type. For those that say use "conditioner" same affect, well, a ton of store bought poorly made conditioners have all type of chemicals and manufactured oils that can dry your beard beyond belief. Conditioner chemicals comprise of Benzyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Propyl Alcohol and Ethanol. Parabens are also used with preservatives that can cause skin sensitivities, so watch out people! For those that say, it melts, changes color, etc., well, place/store in a cool area, do not expose to heat! Its' common sense people, stop giving poor reviews and if you do, you can return for a full refund. This is my first time buying this product and have no affiliation with the product, but when you state what you do in the reviews please educate yourself to substantiate your claims. Review closing comment: *Great product, smells absolutely nice, paste is great and works well in beard in my opinion and many others. Feel confident purchasing. If you do not like it, return it. Really easy folks!
Review: No better product on the market - I purchased this product on October 24, 2014 and honestly could not be happier with the results. I have a long beard (relatively, about six inches from chin to tip). It's thick and the sides can be extremely unruly. Like most beardsmen (and anyone who knows a little bit about hair at all), I do not wash my beard every day, as doing so strips it of all of the natural oils which can lead to a dry, wiry, and coarse beard, which nobody wants. However, my face under the beard is prone to become extremely dry and even painful after a day of not washing it. The dandruff that would come out of my beard by the second day would rival Buffalo, NY's snow storms. Hence my reason for purchasing this particular beard balm. No beard oil I have ever purchased did anything to subdue the terribly itchy, dry, flaky skin under my magnificent face fur. I would even get particular patches on my chin where I could almost peel the dry skin off in one big piece. Gross, I know, but bear with me. I have been using the Honest Amish beard balm for almost a month now and the difference is incredible.Though the flaky skin has not been entirely eliminated, my face is not itchy, or painful at all. The dry patch I spoke of before is totally gone. For the sake of testing, I have gone an entire week without washing my beard and only using the beard balm. The flaky skin never got any worse. It's very mild and extremely manageable with just a bit of brushing. So, in short, this balm has helped my dry and flaky chin skin significantly. As I've said before, my beard is naturally soft. But with this beard balm, it's nearly as soft as the hair on my head, which is just remarkable. There's basically no difference in softness if I run my hand from the side of my head, down my sideburns, into my beard. Lastly, to address the previous issues with the smell and feel. The first time I used it, I used way too much and my beard was greasy. However, I discovered that for my size of beard, I need less than a fingertip's worth of balm to work through and condition my entire beard. A little goes a very long way. When using just the amount I need, there is no greasy feel. Also, it helps to actually massage it in, as per the instructions. The beard absorbs the balm very well. And for the smell, it does not smell like licorice. I suppose to the untrained nose with no other reference to go by, licorice could be the most accurate description, but I assure you, anise is not the primary smell. It smells wonderful and it wears off after awhile (or perhaps my nose just gets used to it). It's more of a woodsy, slightly smoky smell with a hint of anise, if anything at all. I rather enjoy it. So, I will continue buying this product as long as I have a beard (or, forever). I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a better product for their beard and for a solution to dry skin. This stuff is the full monty, worth every penny. Do not hesitate to make the purchase. For you, and for your beard.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this help me grow a beard..i got no hair at all...**
A: If you’ve not starting shaving yet and you have no facial hair then I might suggest to start shaving every single day. Then in 8-10 years you’ll have enough facial hair to actually grow a mans beard not this sad looking stuff I’m seeing on these boys faces these days.

**Q: What's the difference between the Wax and the Balm? When/why use one over the other?**
A: One is thicker than the other but they both do the same thing which is moisturize your skin. Yes everyone says its just for the hair but that is actually incorrect and beard oils and balms are both designed to rehydrate your skin which in turn helps keep your beard hair healthy and not dry. You can use balm to help style your beard as well but more or less wax, balm, and other products like this all do the same thing just are made of different ingridients.

**Q: Can someone comment on how much this tends to cause "flaking" or beard dandruff.**
A: I use Broo products for shampooing and conditioning in the shower. I ONLY wash my beard every third shower. I use this oil and balm every single morning. Before i started this method I had intense itching and dandruff. After starting this method... zero dandruff. Zero itching.

**Q: is this particular item scented?**
A: Initially it smells of sandalwood with undertones of anise but it softens quickly to a light clean hair scent. It's a pleasant, masculine fragrance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well
*by S***C on April 12, 2026*

I have used Honest Amish products for years. They do an excellent job at hydrating and taming my beard. I have a rather large beard, over a year’s worth of growth. My beard is very coarse and thick. About a pea size is enough to give me full coverage if the humidity is high. I can do with a little less in lower humidity. The best way to describe the scent is “herbal,” with a small drop of fennel. It’s not loud or overpowering. No one has ever mentioned it, but I have gotten feedback on cologne. I’ll give this a four out of five because I wish the scent was a little stronger. Otherwise, it is an outstanding grooming product and I highly recommend it.
