It is a lovely texture. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid implementation of a simple thing *by C***Y on February 24, 2016* It's hard to find decently made anything anymore, and I didn't have the time to read 8000 reviews, so I just went with the Kohler branded option. The nice things about this: 1) Actual metal used (not plastic) 2) Thoughtful use of wide bases to hide any damage done by the screws that hold this to the wall (in my case, I used better wall mounting hardware behind it, and the result is that the plaster and paint "curdled" a bit, but this was easily hidden behind the extra wide decorative bases) 3) Relatively intelligent modular design (not that this matters to the buyer) - but since I have several items from this collection, I can see how the manufacturing works and how they combine various basic pieces to make these things, and there is some nice design in there 4) Intelligent base cover tighteners - designed to go on in only one way, and tightening in such a way that they easily go flush to the wall. Again, none of this is rocket science, and these are over-priced (you're paying for the Kohler brand and the knowledge that you won't throw it away in disgust when you receive it).
