2003 540i6 with oem nav and DSP.
I finally got around to installing the radio. I had route the extension harness from the trunk to the front which was the toughest part of the job. Once I was ready to secure the radio in place, I found that the supplied brackets wouldn't line up with the mounting holes on the radio. For now the radio is just wedged in place and ill have to come up with my own mounting solution.Pros:Steering wheel controls worked right away without programming.I think the sound is great although I'm no audiophile. I'm still running whatever oem speakers the 540i came with. After the initial bootup, which takes a couple minutes to load, the radio comes on right away after engine startup and there is no boot time.I was easily able to download and install the EPLay apk from chrome and will be testing out the Eonon carplay dongle when it arrives.Airplay mirroring works over wifi, only really useful for Maps and other landscape mode apps. Haven't tried streaming video of Airplay, better off just using YouTube, which works pretty well.Currently only using the hotspot from my iPhone for internet, which doesn't connect automatically on startup. The display sharpness is pretty good and doesn't look like a cheap product, which was my biggest concern.I ran the external mic to where an oem mic would be located in the sunroof control panel, haven't tested any phone calls while driving yet.Cons:The system is a little sluggish when it comes to running apps other than the radio. The on-screen keyboard is sensitive and easy to miss type letters. The backup camera works right away but does cut audio completely. Im using a bmw trunk handle camera and has a ton of interference, not sure if its related to my cable routing or just a bad cable.Edit: update 01/12/2020My DVD player doesn’t work right. Got around to using it for the first time yesterday. The video briefly goes black for about 1 sec every 30seconds. The audio doesn’t cut out though. Also, the player has a hard time ejecting the disc and takes several attempts to get it out without jamming. I have a replacement radio on the way that I’ll exchange.Update on the backup camera. I wired in a noise filter on the power and ground at the camera and it fixed that problem right up. Also, you can change how low the audio volume goes when backing up.

Excellent for E39 BMW-Need to be Tech Savy
First of all over the stock nav it is leaps and bounds ahead. The free back up camera and OBDII are great. Stereo sounds better adds bluetooth calling and music from my phone. Back up camera is great. You need to be a little tech savy. Once you start righting tech support through email or amazon they are very responsive and friendly. You will have to hook up to wifi to download drivers through Google so OBDII can work simultaneously with bluetooth to your phone. Also i had to get an SD card for GPS maps through ebay so I could use the navigation but there are other options to download for offline use. Once i figured out those two things with tech support help it worked great. If you are tech savy and have an E39 it is a great unit.

Do your research
If you're reading this, you're either tired of the factory unit or have an aftermarket unit that just doesn't fit like I did. This head unit is as good as advertised. I had it installed because there was an aftermarket unit installed prior and it was worth every penny. You definitely need to watch a few YouTube videos with tips for the install but if you have an e39, most of the tutorials online were for the E46. Looks just as good as the factory Nav unit. Found the 126 code to access the factory settings and change the startup logo and turn on the lights. Would definitely recommend downloading your music own streaming app. The unit operates like an android phone not a tablet. Seller sent me the free backup camera and the OBD II fob as advertised, I just paid the sales tax.

Awesome headunit, great price!
Brought this for my 2003 BMW 525i. Definitely not the easiest to install in my vehicle, but thats not the products fault just the design of the car. Once installed the headunit works good and looks good. The touch screen isn't the best nor is it the worst but does the job. It's a great value. Getting another one soon for my other E39!!!!

Good product, quick delivery.
I have been watching the Eonon product for several years now and I must say that, I like what I see so far. They continue to develop and improve their products. The unit I just received(GA9349 for 2002 BMW E39) looks very stock but once you turn it on it has many of the modern features that new cars have which goes great with an older car. The wiring harness looks to be of very good quality. They have even gone through the trouble of wrapping the harness with the same kind of tape the BMW used originally. That's attention to detail! I have not installed the unit yet but I will be updating this review when I have the unit in.

Great OEM style replacement for E39 M5!
I was really pleasantly surprised when I saw how well this matched my factory radio. The one issue I had with replacing my OEM radio was that I didn't want to change the OEM look of my car. The Eanon unit looks just like my factory unit, but brings my car up to the level of new cars with features, even surpassing in many aspects. I'm very excited about the OBD II features and finally having the ability to play Spotify through my M-Audio DSP system. I will update my review when I have more time to play around with the features and test out sound quality, but great so far!

This was all I hoped for as far as an easy installation goes.
This is a quality product. It does everything as advertised. I installed this head unit in a 2003 BMW 530I and it fits just fine. Everything I needed to install it was included. It was plug and play. Also, it looks great and adds value the car. Anybody looking at it would think it was original equipment.

Great Headunit for Older BMWs
This head unit made our '02 530i feel like a brand new car again. With an additional backup camera added it's a joy to use. Plug and play install (BMW business radio, no DSP) and the color can be adjusted to match the OE BMW orange backlight.

Crappy head unit
The media could not be loaded. Was great for first month now takes for ever to turn on fully also half the time it’ll only play through the subs and while listening to the radio it’ll randomly switch stations.. was a great buy at first now super annoying and not worth the money
