Want to clean and polish it.** A: it should, if the surface is rough it may soak up quite a bit of the product initially though. I'd bring a couple heavy duty rags to apply it evenly. **Q: Can this me used on an unsealed limestone hearth?** A: Yes, but this will not really seal your stonework. Also note this cleaner is no more effective than basic soap and water cleaning. If it is new limestone, I recommend getting it professionally sealed first or at least using a basic sealer like Black Diamond Nex-Gen Natural Stone Penetrating Sealer and then using a stonework polish if you want some luster. **Q: Can this be used on floors?** A: Hi Patricia, It absolutely can be used on floors. I use this on my polished travertine floors all the time. **Q: do you need a separate sealer or will this be able to seal just on its own?** A: Use the Black Diamond sealer initially and then you can use this product to clean and seal. Not only, it will clean your tiles without damaging them, but it will be prevent them from being stained by water, food, etc. Moreover, this 32 oz spray bottle content is biodegradable. This product is a two in one ok for granite, Marble, Travertine, and Limestone and can be applied on floors and even counters because it is not food toxic; it is mentioned on the bottle that the pH is neutral. Simply spray the product on a clean cloth and spread it on all of your tiles:it is indicated that you do not need to rinse, but to dry it with a clean cloth: the result is amazing on my granite(pegmatite) counter! Be aware that the render to be uniform infers you apply the product on every cm of the surface...or you will see a difference of teint due to the coat. They would write, "It doesn't work!" Or "It's not a sealer!" Granite Plus does not claim that it will remove years-old stains. Nor does it state that it is a "stand-alone sealer." In fact, the information says it has a "BUILT-IN SEALER makes surfaces easier to clean and protects them against staining. This is not a stand-alone Granite sealer."
