There is no reservoir, you can pat or spread paint and gesso on, just like any other paint brush. **Q: Can this be used with oil paints!** A: Absolutely! The Gesso Magic can be used with any paints or liquid media, and is great for building up texture and spreading or smoothing. Also a huge plus, it's crazy easy to clean! **Q: Can this be used on uneven surfaces such as rock?** A: I don't see why not. I use these to apply gesso to paper. It takes less and goes on smooth without brush marks. They clean up quickly with a little water. As long as the surface is not abrasive, I would think they would work. They are about 2 in. x 2.5 in.
