Is this a manufacturer flaw?** A: Mine do not have pockets either. It is probably a bad description rather than a manufacturer flaw. **Q: I am 5'8". should they fit hip to ankle?** A: Iam 5'7 and will have to shorten these about 3 " **Q: Are they for a cold night in a cold city?** A: They are fairly light weight. I sometimes have to run my dogs outside in the night and if it is cold I won’t do it in these. I like them okay just not the warmest. **Q: How long are the legs for xl pants im 5'7?** A: I'm 5'5" and the xxl pants are plenty long, not so long that I would hem them, tho. They should be just about right for you. Let me tell you more; the fabric is delightfully silky, perhaps not the best dye job on some of the patterns. I now own 8 of these jammie pants, one of the xxl packages came with one sized med. in it. No way could I wear that one. The craftmanship is not the best. Some came from Egypt and some from China. One had the drawstring tie put in backwards...I just pulled the string out! They wash and dry well and are light weight for sleeping. But the price is so good that I figure when they fall apart, I'll just use them for rags.
