The Comfort Trainer is a thoughtful and well engineered improvement over all other head type halters. This CT is FAR more comfortable than other halters due to the softer material, fit around the eyes and does not fit as tightly as The Gentle Leader but Still gives the same amount of control. Yes, the halter is pricy but well worth it. The Comfort Trainer comes in great colors, quality materials. In one week, it seriously improved our enjoyment while walking and training our lovable, energetic and stubborn mid-size hound. Lightweight and narrow, the halter has both a metal adjustment buckle and a small plastic clasp on the collar. The snout-loop fits into webbing below the chin. Our dog was absolutely unable to knock this off, head-toss out of it. There is no hardware or wide padding near her eyes that can ride up or slide out of adjustment and nothing to choke her. It is important for the handler to be light-handed and use a downward motion to control the dog to avoid damaging the lips or neck. If the plastic clasp proves durable it will be worth the price.
