## Description

desertcart.com : Serious Steel Fitness Fractional Plates Calibrated Olympic Change Plate (Complete Set - 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.0 lbs Pairs - Total 5 lbs Set) : Sports & Outdoors

Review: Precise - Well designed, smooth and high quality iron. I weighed each weight and they are correct down to the ounce.
Review: Weights work fine, bag too weak to hold them - The weights themselves seem to be of good quality, and using smaller increments than 2.5 lbs. has helped me continue to make progress on the overhead press. However, the main apparent advantage of this product over similar, less expensive sets is that it comes with a little bag to carry the weights in. This bag is not very durable, and it ripped open at one of the seams after a couple months of using it. I sewed it up, but then the other side ripped a couple months later. Now I need to find something else to carry the weights in. I'll add that, if your gym already has 2.5-lb. plates, and you don't intend to make jumps smaller than 1 lb., you can make all the other weight combinations possible with this set using a set of eight 1/2-lb. plates. After using these weights for several months, I think it would be easier to count the number of 1/2-lb. plates I need than to look for the specific sizes I need in this bag.

## Features

- CUT TO WEIGHT: These Olympic calibrated change plates are cut within grams of the weight. Total weight of the set is 5 lbs. You will receive one pair of 1/4 lbs, one pair 1/2 lbs, one pair 3/4 lbs and one pair of 1 lb plates.
- INCREMENTAL: Add change plates to your training to incremental increase the weight you're lifting safely. Build strength slowly and blast through those plateaus.
- VERSATILE: Use Olympic fractional plates for Olympic lifting such as Snatch, Clean & Jerk, Deadlift, Squat and Bench.
- SAFETY: Micro loading weight, even as small as 1/2 lbs, is the safest and most efficient way of increasing your strength. Sometimes adding 5 lbs is just too much and can not only be discouraging, but a cause for injury.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do they weigh the actual weight? (1/4 lb plates weigh 1/4 lb, 1/2's weigh 1/2, etc.)**
A: Practically speaking, yes. I weighed mine using my kitchen scale. Every plate weighed exactly what it should (4 oz for 1/4 lbs, 8 oz for 1/2, etc). My scale reads to 1/10 accuracy. So, if they are off at all, it's no more than two decimal places or 1/100 - 4/100 degree of accuracy. Or .01 - .04 . Well within acceptable limits.

**Q: How wide are these, on the outside diameter (not the inside)?**
A: Units are 4" Wide. Thank you!

**Q: Does the 1 lb plate come with the bag?**
A: Only the 5 lb. set comes with the bag. Thank you!

**Q: Does anybody make these with 1" holes to fit dumbbells?**
A: You may want to look into microgainz dumbbell fractional weight plates as they clip onto the handle or the rogue add on change plate set.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Weights work fine, bag too weak to hold them

### ⭐⭐ Diaappointed in quality
*by J***O on December 24, 2015*

While these are incredibly useful and have been amazing in getting me through bench press plateaus, I'm very disappointed at how the paint is flaking off in large chunks after only a few months. I was leaving a mess all over the gym floor every time I used them. I would recommend considering other brands before this one.
