I was so excited to put it together and get it into place. When I pulled the protective plastic off the top, there was "ding" right in the middle of it. The end of it was dented - the shine wore off by what looked to be constant rubbing on something plus the lip is dented outward. Now I'm stuck with a messed up product because I have it put together and the box ripped apart. Thoroughly disappointed!UPDATE - This company contacted me within a day or two of receiving the table. They are arranging for a partial refund of my purchase funds and I accept that. The table is set up in my kitchen as an island and I've already begun to use it. It is solid to the extreme and counter height, so perfect for hot dishes and food preparation. I set the bottom shelf up high enough that I can easily reach my vacuum sealer, waffle iron, food processor, etc. and freed up a lot of space on my kitchen counters. I put a vase of flowers in the middle of it as well as all my cutting boards, so the ding doesn't show. There's no way to cover the dent on the end of the table, but, as of this date, I haven't had anyone remark about it, so I think I can live with it.
