Comfortable, but not good at sound cancelation.

Previously used my Audio-Technica M50XBT as a gaming headset, although they had superior sound quality, they weren't comfortable for long gaming sessions and don't have a mic. I thought I'd search for a budget-friendly and comfortable pair of gaming headphones with a mic, I don't mind sacrificing sound quality for comfort when it comes to gaming, and I eventually settled with the Cougar Phontum Essential.Pros:- Pillow-like earcups, the pads are very cushiony and smooth, perfect for long gaming sessions. The headband does clamp a bit on your head but isn't very noticeable since the earcups are big and cushiony. It can get a bit warm inside after a long period of use, but that's to be expected from closed-back headsets.- Sound quality is better than I expected considering the price. In games, they sound good and detailed and it's easy to pinpoint directional audio They aren't bad for music, the mid's and high's are detailed enough for a 50$ gaming headset.- Built quality is good and sturdy, doesn't feel flimsy and the plastic quality used is of decent quality.- Because the earcups are huge, they are also deep, your ears are far away from the drivers, resulting in a better soundstage that's decent enough that you won't feel like the sound is coming from inside your head.- comes with an adapter cable for consoles, good since I use it for my ps5- Comes with smaller ear cups in case you need to switch to them (for outdoor use or travel I guess?). Despite this I don't find myself switching earcups, the big ones are just so good and comfy.- Great adjustability, feels firm, and easy to adjust.cons:-The cable is a tad too long, there have been instances where the long cable gets tangled around stuff that when I get up I accidentally pull the controller/headphones and they fall on the floor.- Though sound quality is good, I wish the maximum volume was a tad higher, and the bass to be more thumpy with a stronger kick. but by no means are these things a deal-breaker. Would've been a 5-star review otherwise.- The model I got does not have a detachable mic and cable, unlike other models ive seen online.- Mic adjustability is flexible but feels a bit soft and loose sometimes.

If the picture showed the amount of cordage it drags, you wouldnt buy it. It is not safe for kids, it will immediately get snagged on an obstacle and likely break or get the kid hurt by trippig on it or getting entaggled during some childish buffunery. Its like they designed it for complaints.Its a shame quality pink headsets are rare, far more obscure are wireless pink headsets fit for gaming. To find a crossplatform one is non-existant. Not to mention if you are looking for one that includes critical features like a micro-phone. Well for that even a discrete microphone... No this headset looks like it was modeled off of a mid 20th century phone operator headset. The mic is obnoxiously long and only flexes to unappealing degreees. The earcuffs are also obnoxiously thick... what were they thinking? How to dissuade consumers at a store?Which is why all the pictures are close ups, by the way. You will not see the full image during use unless you look for it... which unlike I did, you should.

I really like this headset sound and comfort are excellent but sadly I can’t use the mic on Xbox I wanna return it but my return time has ended

As the mic picked up literally every sound outside of the headset as well as all sounds coming through the headset speakers themselves. If the mic had been better these would of been a nice headset. It was very comfortable and sound playback through the headphones was very nice.

Generally saying a product is conpatible with ps4 should mean that you should not have to buy another part to make it work.

Estos audífonos cuentan con una muy buena calidad de audio y el precio es accesible en diferencia de los mas profesionales, si lo usas para gaming, reuniones de trabajo o escuela van excelentes, la diadema me parece de lo mas cómoda y las almohadillas son una maravilla, 100% los recomiendo y estoy seguro que su tiempo de vida es bastante alto.

Llevo usandolos más de dos semanas, tienen buen volumen todo se escucha bien, el ailamiento de sonido que tiene con las almohadillas está bien, el cable viene con complemento si necesitas un Jack de 3 o una salida para micro y audio, pero es incómodo de usar con lentes y es lo único que encontré mal con este modelo, por lo demás bastante bien.
