Only tried it once so far but picks up audio very well. I have the receiver connected to a camcorder and no issues. The transmitter is about 25-30 feet away and works just fine. There is background hissing sound but that can easily be removed with basic audio editing programs. As long as this holds up, pretty good deal

Great bargain buy if you don't have the money
This thing worked great while it still worked. Battery life on both the transmitter and receiver I expected more out of. I figured it would have lasted longer than 8 months though. I know it was only $100 but still. I didn't even use it every day and it stopped working. I replaced it with a RodeLink Wireless system that is $400 that I'm getting great use out of so hopefully that lasts longer.

Worked once, then all components failed
I purchased this to shoot some basic "studio" videos for my business. It's how-to/tech reviews shot on a tiny stage in my house, with the camera less than 8 feet from me. I shot a view minutes of video when I got this mic and the sound was fine; when I returned a month or two later to actually shoot full videos I no longer had any audio. I tested the lavalier mic itself plugged into the transmitter, then plugged into the receiver, then directly into the camera, then directly into a stand-alone dvrecorder... no audio in any instance. I plugged a random mic into the dvr and directly to the camera and did have audio... but when I plugged the same mic into the transmitter or receiver, I again had no audio, regardless of channel selection, receiver line out firmly connected to camera. I repeated everything after turning off my wifi router, no difference in results. The tests I ran indicate that:1) The included microphone does not work2) A different mic, that does work, does not record audio when used in the transmitter pack3) A different mic, that does work, does not record audio when used in speaker jack of receiver packIn short, the mic does not work. The transmitter does not work. And the receiver does not work.

Quality at a Great Price!
I've only had a brief period in which to test the system, but I am already bowled over by it - - it is OUTSTANDING! Sound quality is impressive, ease of use can't be beat, and the price made it possible for me to own this NOW rather than LATER. My video podcast efforts have been thwarted in the past by poor sound quality (being too far from the camera and thus not being heard). Now, I can speak naturally at any distance (within reason) from the camera, and every word can be heard. I've been told that I have a face for radio, but thanks to the WMIC50, now people will need to close their eyes to avoid seeing me in video podcasts!Kudos, guys! The MOVO WMIC50 is amazing!

not good enough for video interviews
It works fine and is very easy to set up. But the sound quality is just not as good as either a wired mic or more expensive digital wireless solutions. Compared to those options, I heard much more background hiss and hum, even when not near electrical gear.I'm sure this kit would be OK for general-purpose remote mic applications, like amplifying somebody giving a talk at a conference. But for semi-pro video recording, like for sit-down or walk-around interviews, I think you have to spend more to get more.I decided to upgrade to the RodeLink wireless kit with digital transmission (link: Rode RodeLink FM Wireless Filmmaker System), and the difference is night and day. Much better audio quality, hiss barely noticeable, no hum or buzz (except if mic is next to transmitter), and also very easy to use (except for battery compartment). Yes it's several times the price of the Movo, but to my ears, worth it for a substantial jump in quality. (review edited for tone)

Good sound quality for the money, but occasionally cuts out and is inaudible for a long period of time during a recording.
For the money, the sound quality of the Movo mic system is very good. I found that it has significantly better sound quality than the Saramonic UWMIC15 which costs over twice as much. I would have given it a five star rating, but on two different occasions it cut out in the middle of a sermon for about 20 minutes, during which the audio was extremely chopping and inaudible. It was for this reason that I had to return it. It may have been a bad unit, but I didn't try another set to find out. Here is a link to the sermon where it messed up:[...] . This will give you a sample of the sound quality and also of the problem I had with it. The cutting out begins shortly after the 29 minute mark.

Love the Quality!!
Love this product! I bought it to create youtube videos and it works great. It's so easy to use and the quality if the sound is amazing, it can be even better if you know how to use Adobe PR. But I'm still learning . You can check out my first video to see the sound effect[...]

Ideal for distance problems
These are great as a drummer I'm moving around a lot, mixing, recording etc, with mic cables everywhere, it's nice to have some wireless freedom and sounds good to.
