After, I repeat the initial instruction to heat on low for 10 seconds then rub a small amount of oil onto the cooking surface (similar to seasoning cast iron, but not as intense). I haven’t had any problems. I try to “always wash by hand”… but life happens and dishes will take over your whole life with this many kids. Avoid metal utensils.
