Like other reviews, it is slightly smaller than OEM. It did NOT solve my leaking issue. It was actually the steam vent assembly. When i took the inner door apart, I pulled off the vent and found loads of buildup, which interfered with the seal, and allowed water to leak out through the vent and down the inside of the door, and onto the floor.I also found that you can turn the origional door seal inside out revealing a perfect new sealing surface to extend the life of the seal. Again, this still did not fix the leaking on my dishwasher, it really was the steam vent assembly, check yours for excessive buildup, hope this helps. I was moments away from tossing a perfectly good dishwasher.

The shape of the gasket was not quite the same as the Whirlpool part, nor was there a "center mark" on it to properly center it and it was too long and had to be trimmed. However, with a little measuring, trimming and extra "packing it" into the space IT WORKED! The Whirlpool part was $71 and this one was $12, so I guess it depends upon your priorities, but it worked fine for me and I enjoyed saving the difference in price!

It was longer than needed, so i was able to custom fit the length. Initially it leaked after first installed, i think taping the door closed for a day or two is important so the gasket forms to the door. the gasket has been working fine ever since, been using it daily for months now.

Came coiled, so no need to get rid of any creases. Extra long so should fit almost any size machine, just may need to trim extra length. Fits my Kenmore snug.

The rubber is soft and pliable, which makes a very easy installation. I was a bit confused when I got to the other side and still had about 2 feet left, but I put in a little more to tighten it up, cut it off, and my dishwasher no longer leaks. It works just fine as gaskets go.
