I agree with some of the other reviewers. This unit is probably not the best choice for heavier hoses. I originally used a heavier hose, and my wife brought to my attention that the unit felt like it was almost ready to break. I paired it with a lighter 100-ft rubber hose , and it turned out to be a very good match - https://a.co/d/0bOLUIjZ. Operation is not require much effort, and everything has been working well throughout the summer. I also added Velcro to relieve some of the pressure on the incoming water hose and installed a large washer to keep it more secure. I’ll see how well the unit holds up next year, but so far, I have no concerns at all.
