This "thing" gave me such joy. I am a cheap, old lady with a top of the line Dell Laptop: top of the line 10+ years ago. The beast HDMI was not known then, and I only had VGA. Everyone around me is using their tablets to watch shows from the Internet on their TVs. I have bad eyes too and I want to see Internet on my TV too but if it ain't broke don't fix it and my old Dell works great!I bought this,TV off - checkLaptop off - checkI bought an HDMI cable for my TV so I could hook this "thing" to it and I plugged that onto my TV and took the end of that over to my Dell... I bought a LONG HDMI cable.Opened the bag and took it all out. NO DIRECTIONS but I saw it on Amazon when I bought it so I printed it outPlugged USB, included in the bag, onto the "thing"Plugged the "things" VGA onto my DellPlugged the "things" audio into my Dells audio head phone portPlugged the HDMI end of the "thing" into my HDMI cable I bought for my TVSo everything was hooked to something. Now it was time to turn on the TV... I didThen I booted up my Dell... waited for my Windows 10 to come onI logged in, and BOOM the TV HAD MY DESKTOP!It don't get no easier than that.The sound is GREAT and the picture is AWESOMEI had friends that said I was wasting my money because VGA to HDMI is a BAD PICTURE - well folks that man's a boob!I'm watching Netflix... Green Arrow and When the Heart Calls on my TV!If I can to it, anyone can. But really would it kill them to put an instruction sheet in the little bag? It must be an OEM bag and not sold in a store so I guess I should just thank them for having the instructions right here where they sell it.

Works as advertised. I wanted to use one 32 inch TV/monitor for my desktop and one of my older laptops. This product works great. I'm using it on a 2008 Sony Vaio with Windows Vista. Now I can use the remote to switch from VGA to HDMI and not have to keep unplugging/plugging the VGA cable.

Word of warning, this will work with some TV's and devices.I have been using with a Dreamcast VGA adaptor to use on travel to friends places. They have an LG where as I have a Magnavox. I have used this to hook my Dreamcast to there TV and the picture is absolutely beautiful. Brings all sorts of new life to my Dreamcast.Another friends, I have hooked it up to there Xbox one to go straight to there Vizio, and yes I know the irony of this. Still, video looks amazing.However, my own TV, a Magnavox, while it technically works persay, the picture is... Pretty blue. And while gaming... This is not good. Though not a terribly big deal since TV has VGA and sound is connected directly to the sound bar for my TV. so I have reserved the VicTsing VGA to HDMI adaptor to travel use only since my own TV doesn't like this.Hook up is pretty simple, connect up to a VGA slot, plug in the 3.5mm audio jack, hook the VicTsing up to a USB power port (wherever one is easily accessible, really easy with the Xbox one since all ports needed are on it. Usb, hdmi in, etc, etc.)Overall, I could recommend this as long as it works for you. It has worked on a LG and a Vizio. It didn't work right on my Magnavox. So get it and try it out for yourself.

Good: It works. I can imagine that converting VGA analog to HDMI digital is a significant engineering challenge, but these people did it.Bad: Gets rather warm after a couple of hours; not dangerously so, but I have to wonder just how much of a strain it's putting on the laptop's USB port. I'd seriously consider powering this with a good phone charger or such. Also, it doesn't support my monitor's 1920x1200 screen. The display is usable, but...Ugly: ...only that. The picture isn't sharp at all, even considering it's converted VGA. A direct VGA connection to the monitor is much sharper and at full resolution. (I use these monitors with several machines, each with different video output. I bought this and other converters because I'm sick of constantly swapping cables.) To be fair, the seller only claimed standard 1080p, and Windows won't let me force the resolution to see if the box can handle the higher res.Bottom line: This unit would probably work well for most people, but not for me. The difference in format and the jarring difference in clarity between this and the HDMI-connected monitor next to it makes it uncomfortable to use for long periods of time. I'll be returning this in favor of a more expensive box that supports 1920x1200. Three stars, your mileage may vary.

It works great on my Dreamcast. The device provides a very good image. There is no lag as far as I can tell.There was some very minor wavy interference, but VicTsing helped me resolve it.The only two things I would do to improve it are:1)Include a VGA gender changer/coupler and an RCA to 1/8" (3.5mm) female adapter in the box, because I needed both of those;2)Put a status LED or two on the device (power, signal)

I provide sound and lighting for church events. We have recently added a video system to our list of services that we provide. My video switcher only accepts digital signals, HDMI and SD-I to be exact. We had an event where the client wanted to plug their computer into my video system, but their computer only had a VGA output (it was pretty old). The only solution I could find was priced well over $500. I searched for a VGA to HDMI adapter on Amazon and found this device among many others. So I ordered it and it arrived quickly. Much to my surprise it worked. I was able to get an old computer's VGA output converted to HDMI and showing up on my system. I'm glad I didn't spend the $500. I would recommend this device for anyone wanting to convert a VGA signal into an HDMI signal on a consumer or prosumer application.

Se supone que este artículo sólo cuenta con una conexión de audio y una de video VGA que, en conjunto logran que, a través de la salida de HDMI del adaptador, tengamos la posibilidad de conectar una computadora, que sólo maneja VGA, a una pantalla que solamente recibe señal de HDMI. La realidad es que el artículo que llegó tiene también tienen, contectado al adaptador, un cable USB, el cual supuse era opcional para obtener el audio de la computadora. Después de varias pruebas en las que sólo se conectaba el plug de audio y la conexión de VGA, el cable HDMI a la salida del adaptador y la otra punta al televisor, sin obtener resultados alguno concluimos que el cable no servía. Fue hasta que conectamos también el cable USB que obtuvimos en la pantalla tanto audio como video. En fin ahora está funcionando sin problemas y procederemos a comprar 6 unidades más

Funcionó como esperaba, se conecta a una entrada usb de la tele y obtuve la imagen.Había comprado otro convertidor diferente este tiene mejor precio, es más chico, con salida hdmi.Solo conecte mi cable hdmi a la salida vga de un DVR y pude ver las cámaras en la televisión en una entrada hdmi, totalmente sencillo, sin configuración ni complicaciones

Antes de empezar recomendaría que si llevara una hoja donde explicara como funciona el adaptador, se que suena raro ponerle un instructivo a un simple cable pero habrá personas que no comprenderán como se debe de conectar.Volviendo al tema el adaptador es sumamente asombroso da una calidad al vídeo que me sorprendió y me dio alegría ya que podre ver todo de mi lap a la pantalla de TV.Estoy muy feliz con mi compra.

Muy practico para los que tienen un PC con salida de solo VGA y necesitan conectarla a una pantalla moderna con HDMI, y conservando el sonido en la pantalla con el adaptador, es indispensable conectar el USB al adaptador y a la PC para que funcione, ya que si no tiene energia no manda señal, en general estoy muy satisfecho con el producto.

Tengo una laptop vieja con la pantalla rota, con este adaptador y un cable HDMI puedo conectarla a la TV y usarla de pantalla. El adaptador necesita conectarse también a un puerto USB y al Jack de audio, los cables vienen incluidos y aunque en mi lap el audio queda del otro lado, alcanza a cruzarla y conectarse sin problemas. Tengo prime y aún así tardó casi una semana en entregarse pero la fecha se me indicó desde el momento que hice el pedido, sin sorpresas.
