Review: Satisfied 10+ Year User - Like many, we have a constant challenge keeping mice out of our ~~2,500 square foot crawlspace. In most places under the house it's stand-up height, but it has a dirt floor with plastic sheeting. Same as "lots of places for mice to live". We first bought this product about ten years ago, and I would grab a few little bricks from the pail whenever I ventured down to retrieve stored items like seasonal decorations. My last visit for fall decorations reminded me that I had run out of bait blocks, when all the pads I'd placed blocks on were cleaned up, and it seemed all the mice were happy to see me again. New pail of blocks arrived a few days ago, and I'll be placing some out for the population to graze on. Using these blocks, the mouse population is significantly diminished, to the point there's no evidence of activity except that the blocks are regularly eaten. Mice seem to love the apple fragrance and taste, evidenced by the layer of droppings on the lid. If only they could open the lid themselves for full access... I guess I need to put more out, especially if I want to completely eliminate the immediate infestation. Fortunately, it's a large enough pail that I won't feel bad about putting more out there. We'll see how well that works. Evidence shows it might. For this fall, I supplemented the bait blocks with a few bucket traps and some regular spring traps. I'll be down there today to place the new bait blocks, and see how effective the traps have been in the last few weeks they've been deployed. For the longer periods between visits down there, the bait blocks do the bulk of the population management.

**Q: Just arrived and these cubes are much larger than expected.  Will the cube be consumed?  Do I throw the cube away at some point?**
A: you can break the cubes up if you like. yes throw them a way when the mice are gone or keep it out for returning mice in a safe place

**Q: 144, or 72? Title and picture says "Pail of 144", but in "specifications" it says 72.**
A: Even the seller seems wrong. The ad says 1 ounce each. Multiply that times the 144 shown on the label and you have 9 lbs which is also on the label. No where do I find a quantity of 72 for sale but I have a couple of tubs of 64 in the garage and that agrees with the 4 lb label on the side. 72 would equal 4.5 lbs which I have not seen but if thats the case we have a bit of bait (funny) and switch according to the folks who answered the question including the seller. Lets hope its just confusion and not worse.

**Q: Do i need to use a bait station since i have a rat problem in the attic to ue this product**
A: Yes you must put them in bait stations.    I sell them in my amazon store.    However I would not use bait inside.  You risk them dying inside the wall and you not being able to find them. They your house will stink of dead rodents.  Get the bait stations and and bait and put them outside your home and then set rat snap traps in the attic.

**Q: Does this product have a hole in the center as shown in the pictures ?**
A: yes all bait blocks have hole in middle to install in bait stations
