Revised review (03/25): they were tight and as a consequence have worn out quickly.Our Ascona tap is lovely but the o-rings soon wear (and we get through ceramic cartridges quickly, too). The original Franke o-rings are easy to fit and allow the tap head to turn smoothly and easily; these ones are the opposite: tight and stiff, even with silicone lubricant being used. I can't see how they won't wear very quickly as a result - but time will tell.

I had an issue where after replacing all of the parts of the tap (despite I believe it just being one O-ring failing), it was impossible to get the neck back into the base. I rang the supplier who basically suggested not replacing all of the parts, just the one I suspected to have failed, as due to manufacturing tolerances it was clear that one or more of the parts were slightly too big.Unfortunately I was unable to get the tap back together without using one of the old plastic white washers and one of the O-rings, and the tap still leaked, thus indicating the old O-ring that I had to use was the failure. So basically a complete waste of time and money as the kit was useless.Rather than seek a fit for purpose replacement, I just decided to replace the entire tap with a different brand.

Just the job! A great price, arrived quickly, well packaged. Followed the step by step guide video by the supplier - job done! 👍 one tap just like new…. Perfect thank you, recommend to all.

This is not fit for purpose due to poor quality control. The washers seemed to fit well and easily until I tried to refit the spout, it wouldn't go back in fully. The top plastic washer is obviously just too large and jammed the spout so that it would neither fit fully in, nor could it be removed. The only option was to replace the whole tap. A lot more than a £5 fix!! AVOID like the plague.

Might be user error but it proved impossible to get the spout back into the tap body (it was actually very difficult to get it out) as the lower O-ring made it too tight a fit and the tap design made it impossible to push the spout down with enough force. Not helped by fact that there's no reference point for how far you have to push it down, Not a fault of the kit - I couldn't do it with the old O-ring. Maybe some Vaseline would have helped, but by that time I had actually damaged the spout.
