Easy to install can’t beat the price

I replaced 7 non ICAT cans that were in a second story room over a room that is over a 3 car garage. Both the upstairs and downstairs rooms were always freezing cold. I knew the old lights were an issue because when in the attic you could literally see into the house through the slots in the light housing.It was not a fun job, some of the lights were in tight spots but these lights have push connectors so it made connections quick. After hammering the lights in place I was able to spray foam around the perimeter to create an airtight seal between the housing and sheetrock.Later that night I went in the upstairs room, which usually feels like a meat locker, and it was very comfortable. The housing insides were probably around 35 degrees but no air was dropping out of them. Those rooms are much more comfortable now. Should have done this a long time ago.

I would like to give these 5 stars. However, the last 2 I bought, 1 was bent so bad I needed to spend 5 minutes slowly bending the arms back so it was usable. The other one had one of the extensions broke on the perforation already (so it wasn't usable). If they come as they should the cans are easy to hang and work with, and I would definitely recommend them. My floor joists are varying distances apart, so I have had to adjust the arms on these cans and they have worked great. I have currently put up 20 of them and have 6 more to go.

This housing does not contain the classic Edison screw in light bulb socket. This housing is made strictly for LED lights. The materials state you have to use the Cooper Lighting LED Module but that is extremely expensive. I used a similar light to this http://amzn.com/B00JUNY2D4 just lower wattage. You can also see the orange connector between the light and the socket.This housing is just like the standard Halo 6 inch New Construction Recessed Light housing sold at every home improvement store with the exception of the lower max wattage. This allowed me to put more lights on fewer circuits. Had I used the classic housings I would have had to use the higher wattage in my calculations.Two attached photos of the inside. You can see the 20 watt max label and the connector.I am extremely happy with these. I ended up purchasing 18 of these and wouldn't hesitate to purchase more.

Very nice sturdy product my husband had no problem installing. I gave it 4 stars because one of the box covers was missing (we ordered 2 lights). I tried calling the seller multiple times with no answer. But over all we are happy with the product.

For years I wanted to have an additional light in our kitchen. This installed easily. Since it was going in an existing ceiling I screwed the supports in instead of nailing them. Installation took less than an hour including running the wire from another light. They make the wiring very easy and quick. I plan on buying more. My wife has already given me a list of where she wants additional lighting.I also like the ability to use the screw-in LED bulbs.

Several lights have internal wore broken. Not recommend.
