After market ink jet cartridges sometimes just stop working with my HP printer. HP software is designed to keep customers buying pricey HP cartridges. But all in all after market cartridges perform ok - just glitches sometimes requiring a fresh cartridge. Final analysis it’s about $$$

I had been buying remanufactured multi-cartridge packs for years from another vendor, through Amazon. They had a 2 year warranty and for the few times that I had any issues, they never contested my claim and were quick to send me replacements. Their cartridges worked for long periods too but they decided to get out of the "old HP printer" business. I've just purchased this multi pack on July 9 and already gone through all 5. I'd categorize myself as a slightly higher than average print user but nothing extreme, so my sense is that these ValueToners don't last long. I discovered by accident that if I disconnect my printer and reboot, I can get a few more pages of printing. About 2-3 reboots and then it decides it won't print anymore. On the positive, these cartridges actually register ink levels on my HP monitor which the other remanufactures did not...that is, until it reaches the point where it refuses to print anymore. All in all, for the price, I'd recommend them, especially considering the choices are few for old printers like my HP7310xi.

The cartridges didn’t last as long as the original brand name so I’m still undecided as to whether or not I would order them again.

I bought these for an older HP Deskjet 9800 medium format printer. The HP cartridge set was over $80, which is just ridiculous. The only issue was that one of the circuit tapes on the black cartridges had gotten bent, and the printer wasn't recognizing it. I smoothed it down a couple of times and it worked. I've printed two sets of 13" x 19" technical drawings with each set being approximately 4 sheets, and I'm impressed with how clean and crisp the lines and notations are. Usually, with remanufactured cartridges, I expect some bleed, no matter how minor. It's just the trade-off you come to expect. These don't seem to have that issue. Hopefully, the other 3 cartridges in the set meet the same standard, but I won't know until the first 2 run out. I'll most likely buy these again.

Some of the cartridges fail--I have had one fail already. Its a luck of the draw; you save money for the most part, but one cartridge will fail early--I have learned.

Not the best ink for my printer. Kinda hard to install. It throws up an error code every time I put a new one in. Do they work? Yes, but there is a little extra you have to go through to make them work properly.
