Samsonite Novex Perfect Fit Laptop Backpack Black

This is one of those products that is so great that you seriously worry about the manufacturer discontinuing it.After purchasing and immediately returning the Samsonite Xenon 2 several years ago due to excessive bulk and what I felt was an unattractive design, I stumbled upon this model and immediately purchased it. I could not be happier with my decision.The Novex Perfect Fit backpack is intuitively organized, has tons of great zippered and divided compartments, conveniently stands on its own and has enough interior space for all of my needs while looking very sharp, slim, and professional for any business environment.I already had one friend compliment the appearance of my bag and mistake it for a Tumi or Briggs & Riley; both of which are about 6X the cost of this item and which effectively have the same utility.One especially unique and overlooked feature on the Novex is that the quick access top-front pocket is very similar to the handy top-front pockets what you find on Samsonite carry-on spinner luggage, which in turn is difficult to find on most other backpacks. The surprisingly roomy front compartments and main storage shell open conveniently with a "45 degree" opening that allows you access items while the bag is standing on a surface. I was especially pleased with how much you could carry in this backpack without missing a beat or adding tacky bulk.The only minor nit I would have about the Novex is that the straps -- while comfortable and well-padded -- may be a little tight for individuals with especially broad shoulders or thick arms, even when loosened all the way.A must-buy for any traveling professional at a killer price.

I love this backpack so much that this is my second purchase of the same bag. It’s perfect for flights because it fits under the seat in front of you - even on tiny planes! It has a strap that easily fits over the handle of your luggage, the material is durable, and it has a protective laptop pouch that’s adjustable to fit larger or smaller laptops. It also has compartments for your phone and iPad, outer pockets that hold 2 bottles of water, small outer pockets for cords, chargers, business cards, etc... and another large compartment separate from the laptop which I use for travel size toiletries and other stuff I want easily accessible during a flight. I’ve also carried this to work too. I used it daily for work for a year and half or so and for several flights including international travel before a zipper finally broke after I caught it on something.

I use this backpack everyday, as I commute for work. It has plenty of storage, and stands up well when packed correctly. It looks professional and I have to say I love this backpack! As a plus, it also fits perfectly on my travel back. I’ve had for 3 months , and so far very durable. I believe it’s worth the price, and you won’t be disappointed. Definitely recommend!!

One problem is chain will open up while carrying if the 2 sides of the chains were closed around the middle. You have to pull one chain handle all the way to the other end (left or right chain) to keep it closed. I haven’t experienced this in other similar bags

Great backpack for men who are always on the go. The only casualty is that the zippers do not hold so well and unzips independently. Yesterday I rode on my bike on one of NYC windy days, my backpack unzipped and all of my legal documents flew out.... this back pack is going straight to the salvation army ... so long.

Sometimes if you are willing to pay a little more, you get a lot more, and this is one of those times. I bought this new backpack because my new laptop is bigger than the old one and did not fit in the old backpack, also a Samsonite, and still perfectly good after 3 years of daily use. The new one is well made, sturdy construction yet lightweight, lots of pockets inside and outside. This one also has an inner secure pocket for a tablet in addition to a larger compartment for a laptop.

Husband uses this everyday for more than 3 years now...he is into IT and has alot of gadgets and his lap top as well as folders, papers. It's great comfortable and has alot of pockets.

This bag has proven durable, like and comfortable to carry. I have no issues with the excellent zippers. It has lots of thoughtful pockets and a well insulated place for laptop. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to more expensive brands. Oh, comfortable carry handle on top, and bag stands up on its own
