Crafted from a solid casting of steel, this not-quite-traditional chronograph pleases your senses--from the curves of its anatomy to the tactile experience of its pushers. But the dial is the most striking feature. Independent bi-directional hands measure time and fly back like the dashboard gauge of a sports car.

Great watch for a Great Price
I received this watch last week (2/17/15). The watch arrived on time even though there was a snow storm in the area it was shipped from. The Good:Watch looks great, not too large and not heavy at all.It is easy and straightforward to set properly. The band seems to be substantial. I did not experience the peeling of the side-seal on the band others here have. I think the band will last quite a long time. The crystal seems to be strong. It has kept excellent time since I got it. (I.e. the time accuracy has not varied at all)In my experience, the watch is quiet unless my wrist is pretty close to my ear (YMMV).The chronometer feature is useful, and the fly-back feature looks really cool.I like that I have two time zones--my boss is in the UK and I am in the NE US.My son really likes it, so I will be getting an expedition for him soon (has similar functionality to this watch, but it is much less expensive).I am also looking to purchase a more "premium" watch, since I am now morphing into a watch enthusiast. After looking at Bulovas, Citizens, Stuhrlings and Invictas, the features on this watch actually hold up pretty well to the features on the other brands. This is not to say the other brands are not desirable, it is just that if you are on a budget, this watch probably does everything you need it to do and more for anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 the price. The not-so-good:The band was so thick I actually had to pull it pretty hard to get it on to my wrist. All is well now, though. The second hand does not align with the second calibration marks, as others have said. The chronometer is cool, but he format takes a little getting used to.The second time zone, which is on the top left chronometer hands, can be difficult to read as the calibration marks are pretty close together.Over all I am very pleased--hence the five stars. I will be getting more of these as gifts for my brothers/friends as the birthdays roll around. (I don't care of they know.....) I had a Timex mechanical watch as a boy and I remember liking it. It looks like I may be a Timex fan again.

Fantastic Watch
The watch bug bites me about every three to six months, and I used to "get my fix" by spending thousands of dollars buying big name certified Swiss chronometers. Thankfully I eventually came to my senses and have since disciplined myself to no longer buy watches that cost as much as a used car. I realized that I could get more enjoyment out of inexpensive, yet high quality watches that had the kind of eye appeal that I had become accustomed to with watches costing ten times more.I've been looking at the Timex T2N700 online for a year or so, and finally bought it from Amazon. It arrived today, and the pictures online don't do it justice--this is a fantastic looking watch; the black and tan is a perfect combination. The contrast between the hands and the dial make reading the time extremely easy in both bright and dim lighting conditions. I was looking for a watch under the $200 mark that had auto racing inspired design cues. There are many such watches out there, but I was drawn to both the unique styling of this Timex, as well as the Timex history in America. The retrograde dials at the four and ten o' clock areas remind me of speedometers, and the stitched tan leather band subtly nods to the leather trim of fine European sports cars. Side note: I would love to see Timex bring manufacturing back home--I'd happily pay a little more for the watches knowing they're made back where they started.Though I'll probably rarely, if ever, use the chronograph function, I do like the unique approach Timex took to incorporate retrograde, aka, "flyback" minute and hour counter dials instead of the more common round dials found in most every other chronograph out there. This dial design in addition to being extremely visually appealing, is also very functional. The numbers on this Timex are laid out on a curve having a much larger radius than those found on watches having smaller, full circle dials, making it much easier to read the various functions, including the second time zone, which I will occasionally use.At first glance such a complicated looking watch may give the impression of being difficult to set up or operate--it wasn't at all. The manual was easy to understand and I had the date, time, and the second time zone set in just a couple of minutes. The chronograph was easy enough to figure out without reading the manual, and I got a kick out of watching the retrograde dials move back and forth.Five stars to Timex--I expect this watch will inspire plenty of compliments. I'm looking forward to the next time the watch bug bites.

Cool watch with nice features for very little
This watch's dial is complicated, there's no doubt about that. It could be overwhelming at first, but it shouldn't take long to get used to, however, and legibility is surprisingly good when you do. The date window is strategically placed, has a matching black dial, and is equally legible. Timex's Intelligent Quartz allows them to add that chronograph and 2nd time zone complication, which could really come in handy when travelling. I set it to Zulu time, but you can also simply set it to the same time as the rest of the watch and it becomes a handy 24-hour readout. The fly-back feature is really cool to see and usually reserved for much more expensive watches, but it allows for easy lap-timing. For a quartz watch, it's a little thick at 12.7mm, but complications will do that to a watch.

Stylish fly back chrono watch
Very stylish watch. I wear this everyday. If you wear on your left wrist a little below as i do, you can use the Indiglo feature very easily. Just push the middle button with your fist up towards the button and you won't need your other hand to turn it on(showing off).

Amazing watch, but too big for my wrist.
I picked this watch up suspecting that it might be too big for my 6.25" wrist. I figured if it fit, great, and if it didn't, it would make a great gift for a good friend of mine. Either way, the price was too good to pass up. I get the watch, try it out, and I'm thrilled with all the functionality. Put it on wrist, and I'm unsure if I can pull it off. Luckily I have a very honest wife, who let me know that the watch is too big for me (especially when viewed from a diagonal), and that there is no way I can wear it.PROS:- Beautiful dial layout.- 4th hand (Chronograph second hand) is a really nice feature, and sweeps rather than ticks.- 24hr dial (aka "second time zone) is easy to change (pull crown to first position, and use top/bottom pushers to adjust hour on top-left subdial and minute on 4th second hand).CONS:- Case doesn't feel as sturdy as some of my metal cases (very minor issue).- 43mm is just too big for me.

BUY IT!
This is by far one of the coolest watches you can get for the money. The chronograph is very entertaining to see in action and puts a smile on my face every time I check the time. The design is unique and awesome. Everything seems perfectly put together, I can't find any quality control issues.I recommend you to buy it before they're sold out, something this unique and well built for such a cheap price is an opportunity that should not be missed.
