Original were halogen bulbs, one died so looked into led replacements. Decided a brighter cooler white bulb would be an improvement. Looks like I was right. The warm white were fine as a nightlight but not very good for cooking. These brighten up the whole cooktop much better and the daylight color temp just seems much more neutral for cooking. Was silly to pay extra for a dimmable since these do not have a dimmer. First impressions using them is no flicker detectable which is highly appreciated when standing at the cooktop for long stretches. Expect much better life than the 2 yrs we got from the orig halogen.
