Fabulous!!! - See review for tips and additional info
I setup Alexa about a week before I decided to invest in these bulbs along with a plug in dimmer starter kit. Some important things to know:1) These bulbs require an insteon hub- I got a hub in my plug in dimmer kit and it works well with these bulbs2) These bulbs DO support dimming features, I tried on-off and dim 50% though other % also work.3)There is an app for Windows on your PC - AND for Windows Phone (I'm using Windows for Mobile 10). It worked with bulbs and plugin dimmers and I've done on-off-and dim as a test for each of my four devices. It isn't just for android and iPhone. (YAY!)4) You should plug your hub into an actual wall outlet, you can use an extension cord but NOT a power strip (it messes with the signal)5) You will need to plug the hub into a network port (hub, router, or wall) using the included RJ45 jacked cable. There is no Wi-Fi option.6) When you download the app- bring a single device online at a time. You have to start the add device process before plugging in or screwing in bulb then it'll auto-discover.7) It helps to use your phone/pc near the hub and device when setting up -- there's a timeout during set up you don't want to run to another room.8) Give your devices simple easy to use names9) Discover your devices from within the Alexa App10) Call out 'Alexa Living Lamp On' or use options like Off - dim to 50% - set to 100% - dim to 80% etc.11) Using the insteon app it's easy to schedule On/Off times or set schedule by night/day. Be sure to save your change in each window or it loses changes when you go back to the root scheduling page for the device. Aka- set On time and save- then go back and set off time and save.12) Dual Band devices like the dimming plugins are basically signal strengtheners/repeaters. Install your closest Dual Band devices closest to the hub before installing devices farther from the hub unit.Also- I'm a die hard incandescent bulb fan and i found these LED bulbs gave off a pleasant warm white color. Also - the closer you are to the hub the faster the response to your commands. I found within 16 ft, a 2 count occurs between requesting and executing a command. At a distance of ~54 ft a 4 count occurs between request and execution. At a distance of about 30 feet from Alexa, down a hallway and through a wall I was able to activate a voice command for a device about 54ft from the hub, with three walls between the device and hub.The bulb is a bit wider than a normal incandescent bulb and as such I had one lamp fixture (an old oil lamp converted to a lamp) where the bulb wouldn't fit inside the glass chimney. Also the bulb lights up only at the top portion of the bulb, it looks just fine in the small white and blue shaded lamps I have, but strange in my downward facing tulip bedside lamp with the glass beaded shade as it doesn't glow softly from the sides. On a whole I was so emboldened by the freedom this product provides and the ease of setup I already have one more bulb, a thermostat, an outlet, and several dimmer and on/off switches on order. Currently I only have one device in any given room so I haven't tried creating groups yet - however I will be trying this as soon as other devices are installed.**** 8/29 update - I created a scene in my insteon app today, to group several fixtures together (as a start three bulbs and one plugin dimmer). While I was able to turn this scene on/off from my PC- I wasn't able to control this insteon scene from Alexa - I had to create a group for the same units directly in alexa's app instead. << just a little tip for ya :)

Just gotta remember it's the light of a 60 Watt and directional
Arrived quickly and well packaged. I use the houselinc program and it was instantly found and incorporated into my Insteon network. NOTE: The Insteon number is on the TOP of the bulb xx.xx.xxI purchased this mostly to play with as my aging eyes have little use for a regular 60 Watt incandescent bulb let alone something shaped like an ice cream cone.I tried it in the lamp next to where I read and as expected, the light was more toward the ceiling with a shadow under the lamp. The light is very directional so remember that. It would be better suited in a ceiling fixture or to replace a low powered flood light. I liked the color temperature and colors seemed fine but the slightly less than 600 lumans is a deal breaker for me. The houselinc program allowed it to easily link to a motion sensor and with a little experimenting I was able to have it on at 10% brightness and when motion was sensed go to 100% brightness then back to the 10% level after I left the room.I would have liked to used this in my porch fixture again running only 10% which is just enough to see the door address and then switch to full brightness when someone walked up. It will do exactly that but it needs to be brighter, perhaps equivalent to a 100 Watt bulb and OMNIDIRECTIONAL. Don expect much light to be cast toward the threaded end.If I use it indoors it will have to be in a fixture where the top is pointing down. The base of the unit does get too hot to be comfortable when I touch it but that temperature quickly subsides when off (it's only 8 Watts!).All of this is pretty much as I expected and it's fun to play with but rather than purchase several of these for an array I'm waiting for a couple of non-dimming non-Insteon LED lights to arrive, one is a 100 Watt equivalent but again it has the 'ice cream cone' shape the other (CREE) has the correct spherical shape but only equivalent to a 60 Watt.Ok, time to put my CFL bulb back in my reading lamp and find some use for this as it's too expensive to not use.Oh, these are DUAL BAND (RF and Power line signaling) devices which are really nice if you want to place them some distance from the house. So, com'on Insteon make a 75-100 Watt equivalent omnidirectional LED bulb.I wish it was a lot brighter.UPDATE (out of box application): My house (I rent) has a dual head Motion detector. It was a pain trying to get the right wattage for each light. I needed different light levels for each lamp. I noticed I heard a 'RELAY click' when it detected movement so I put these Insteon LED bulbs in and it works! I can now change the level of each bulb. The bulbs 'remember' their last brightness level when turned off. When they turn on it's at that level but I can also change it with the Houselinc program for say when there is snow on the ground Vs green grass or adjust for best security camera light level while watching the camera! I can only make adjustments when the are actually on but that's no problem.Just wanted to share this application. I'm still very happy with these.

This device when paired with the right software and hardware just works like the bees knees
I have used Insteon product in my house for over 10 years now. This device when paired with the right software and hardware just works like the bees knees. The light is bright. It was a little too bright for the bedroom but you can set it to a % of full brightness so no biggie. As my lamplinks die, I shall replace them with these bulbs.

Great light bulb with built in remote control/ monitoring
Great light bulb with built in remote control/ monitoring. Should last more than the 3 years I got out of the last one though.

Does as promised
There isn't allot to say about this smart light-bulb. It does as advertised, and it is easier to set up than most Insteon products. That being said, don't expect to have it working in less than 5 minutes.

only includes one bulb not 4
If the price looks too good to be true it is. Description clearly states "Includes 4 of the 2672-222 Insteon led bulbs"I think what they meant was the bulb contains 4 LEDs. Package arrived today and only included one Insteon LED bulb.
