Overall it a good unit but it's not that strong.
Having the Echo backpack and a 110v electric unit I was a little disappointed in the strength of this unit in comparison. That being said I haven't compared it to any other similar units so I may be expecting too much for this type of unit. Overall it's good for blowing out the garage or patio but I couldn't see trying to use this to move a lot of leaves.

like regular gas will after it sits a month or ...
Only had it one day and was impressed with its power, compared to my 18 year old Craftsman which was always enemic from day one, should have returned it. Anyhow, I am writing this because of all the complaints I read about the PB-250LN losing power after a few months. I talked to local dealer and she said these 2 cycle engines (any 2 cycle) need to run on premium, because when you add oil to the mix it knocks the octane rating down. If you use 87 Octane the oil will lower it to 85. Also, the ethanol in the gas ruins the engines (especially the newer engines) and you should add a additive to the gas. You can buy cans of premixed 2 cycle gas and you don't have to add anything including oil to the gas. Further more, the gas will last the year and not gum up the carb, like regular gas will after it sits a month or more. Pump gas with ethanol for small engines is not worth crap after 1 month. Thanks Democrats.

Easy to start
I bought some junk blower 5 years ago because it was less than $100. I didn’t do any research and just grabbed the cheapest one at HD. I’ve slowly been upgrading all of my lawn equipment and it was time for a new blower. A few weeks ago I bought the Echo PAS trimmer/edger and really liked the quality and easy of starting. The blower is the same. Love how easy it is to start and use. Was perfect for blowing all the crap from edging off my sidewalks and driveway. More than powerful enough to blow around fall leaves in my 5,000 sq ft yard. I used it with noise cancelling headphones while listening to a podcast and I could hear it fine so even if this is really loud I didn’t notice. Very happy with the purchase.

Total Failure
Won't start... Won't refund... Regretable!Wouldn't run. Total garbage. When I tried to return it I was told that it is under warranty and I need to take it to an authorized dealer for repairs. I would've been better off to purchase from Home Depot. Avoid this seller!

Great tool
Bought this new echo blower after my 25 yr old echo blower developed carburetor problems but couldn't justify the cost of a new carb for the age of the tool. I was extremely happy with the quality and performance of my old echo so there was no question of which brand to buy for the replacement. I was not disappointed when the 250ln arrived. Easy to start, and powerful. It seems a little bit heavier than my old echo and could probably use a side handle for manuevering the flow of air under and around shrubs.

Easy to use
At 70 years old I need something easy to use and this is. It’s not so heavy that I’m unable to use, which is very nice for me.

After using the borrowed blower I decided that it was light and easy to use
I had a electric leaf blower and it died after 15 years of use. I used the Echo 250LN on the same day that my blower died. After using the borrowed blower I decided that it was light and easy to use. This Echo has plenty of Power to blow even the wettestleaves. The cruise control on the blower is a very nice added item to this blower. You can set the blower to work at a given speed without having to hold the trigger all the time. This blower handles as nice as my old electric blower and is not hampered with the annoying dragging of electric cords. I give this (5) stars

Not sure
I bought this after Christmas and the temperature is very low here in Ohio. I can't really rate this unit until spring. I can say that the Poulon Pro that I replaced was junk. I had 3 in a row and they never lasted more than 6 months. I'm rating this one on high hopes.September 9, 2013. It is terrific. Starts every time. Exceeds the advertised power. I have used this blower for the whole summer, twice a week. It has always started on the second pull and runs great. I think this one will last. Just be sure you use a two cylander oil with an additive
