Does a more than adequate job on low, rumbling noise.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. First things first, these were bought to replace a pair of ANC headphones I'd bought for my daughter that had been causing her pain after a prolonged period of using them. It was because they were more of an on ear rather than over ear design. That's the main reason I bought these to start off with as they actually fit over the ear. This also help with the noise reduction as the ear is cupped in the earphone so deadening the outside noise even before you turn on the ANC.I want to say now that if you think that ANC cancels all noise, it doesn't. It works best on low, background noise such as traffic or engine noises. Perfect for flights, both for listening to the entertainment or for just switching the ANC on so that you can get off to sleep. For the price these are comfy, work well, are lough and look pretty sleek when on. The ANC performs well and if you are listening to anything then that and the ANC pretty much block out the majority of sound. The padding on the ear and on the crown means no fatigue. The only downside to these is that they didn't come with a flight adaptor which is the usual.

Unbelievable Quality With Great Sound & Comfort
Sadly most of us, whilst looking to purchase a new set of headphones, almost always decide to pick up a renowned branded pair rather than those of a lesser-known company. For me, this is where that inevitability comes to end. I must admit to having never heard of Boltune before this purchase, but I am so thankful to have taken the plunge, as the Boltune BT-BH010 is a mean and ruthlessly effective piece of kit.Delivered in surprisingly efficient time, the contents are as follows (see attached photographs for more):A small silver box (not lots of ridiculously over-the-top packaging which blights many products nowadays)A medium-sized black leatherette case with Boltune logo (perfect for use when travelling)BT-BH010 folded headset fit snugly inside the case (again, perfect for use when travelling)A USB charging cable (no costly and annoying repeated replacing of batteries)A 3.55mm auxiliary audio cable (an invaluable extra; it allows you to be tethered to a device in case of problems with your Bluetooth connection and/or battery charge)A concise & easy to follow user's guideA card detailing how to register your product to gain the peace of mind of having the warranty and support helpline numbersThe whole package is smartly presented and comes across as very good quality right from the get-go. You can just feel the quality when you pick up the sleek headset. It is clear this company means business and has fantastic attention to detail. One of my major concerns when it comes to purchasing new headphones is how comfortable they are going to be for listening for long periods of time. I work from home and frequently wear them for 10+ hours per day and this often causes my headaches; not with these! They are a fine balance between sturdy and comfortable. A pleasure to wear.Set-Up, Features & Qualities:* Even if you are not well-versed in the use of electronics, the pairing of the headphones with a device is as simple as searching for them from said device and clicking to connect. It took me about 10 seconds and was just as simple as connecting via a cable. Superb!* Buttons & Features on the ear cups:- Left cup:* Micro USB Charging Port* Charging Indicator- Right cup:* Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Button* Microphone* 3.5mm Audio Port* Working Indicator* Power Button* Volume - (to turn the sound down) & when given a long press this changes it to the previous track* Volume + (to turn the sound up) & when given a long press this changes it to the next track* I love that the headphones actually say "power on" and "power off" when you press the on/off button and they also helpfully turn themselves off if left on for a certain amount of time which is a nice touch. This means you'll not run the battery down accidentally.* They use stable Bluetooth 5.0 which allowed me while testing to move approximately 50ft from my device before the connection dropped.* Microphone: Although I don't intend on using this right now I was curious as to the quality and carried out a few calls to check. The built-in CVC 6.0 is great and the sound is clear and crisp.* Sound Quality: They deliver an incredible sound, no distortion and great bass. I am an audiophile (sound enthusiast) so have knowledge of what is high quality and what is not. These give many of my £300+ pairs a run for their money; to say I was taken aback would be quite the understatement.* ANC Effectiveness: Highly effective and make listening outdoors or on noisy public transport a breeze.* Battery Life/Charging Details: True to stated: fully charged they last for approximately 30 hours and charge rapidly. 5 minutes worth of charge allowed me to use for 1 hour 50 minutes. When the battery is running low there is an audible voice prompt to let you know that it is necessary to charge it shortly.* Comfort: I have rather a small head but these fit me perfectly without any issues (falling off etc). They have decent extension at either side for larger heads, and I can imagine them fitting most people's heads. They cover the ears well and the cushions are beautifully soft and supple. I found that after 10 hours of wear it was as though I had just put them on.All in all, these are an exquisitely made set of headphones that I would highly recommend. Instead of forking out your hard-earned cash on Bose and the like try a pair of these. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! For the price these are remarkable.*** These were purchased as a present for me by a relative. ***

As good as or better then Bose etc, at 25% of the price? Better believe your ears they are!
***Updated after 5 weeks of use***I picked these up based on an external review which said to cast away any fears of a low fi product based on such a great price point, they do not dissapoint.I currently have a pair of AKG NC60s, unfortunately the bluetooth has stopped working so i looked to have that fixed, i was quoted £45 for the repair so wondered if i could buy a set of noise cancelling cans that werent too far from that.In the past i have also had -Bose QC 35 II - Just didnt justify the price and although they have a 2 yr guarantee there is a lot of negative feedback on their build quality, especially the pads and headband so they were returned.Bose Soundlink II - Excellent headphones, probably a better sound than the QC35s, i felt, but lack of NC was an issue on train journeys in particular.Pros* Out of the box the build quality is not too dissimiliar to Bose, the plastic feels a tiny bit less durable on the buttons, however a nice touch is the imprinted logo into the plastic versus a print on logo on the competition. The earcups are very comfortable, i tend to listen an hour at a time day to day, max two hours fifteen if on a weekly train and had no issues with them overheating or feeling uncomfortable.* Operation is easy, hold an easy reach button on, pair your device and away you go. Once paired the first time the connection time subsequently to my devices has been very fast and seamless. Theres been no dropout in various environments including public transport and busy shopping centre. The NC is activated by a slide switch on the unit, easy to reach without looking and has a static light to show you its activated.* Sound Quality is excellent. I have a five song list i always use first to see how headphones sound, i wont embarrass myself by saying whats on that list. Lets call it popular music! There is a very rich sound in these headphones, clear trebles, piano comes through with a nice clarity and theres enough seperation on vocal heavy tracks to make it easy to understand lyrics across genres from opera to rap.I really love the bass output on these headphones, i have to be careful with listening at high volumes as i have tinnitus in one ear, so i only run for a couple of minutes at the loudest volume but the bass is punchy, vibration through the cups is not overpowering but it is evident, its very similar to vibration i recall from the QC 35IIs but isnt as strong as say a set of Beats headphones i have tried in the past in shops. Its pleasing and accurate. One sign of lower end headphones i have always found is distortion at the upper end of the volume spectrum. In these there is none. They handle everyhing i have thrown at them with aplomb.* The noise cancelling can be activated with a sliding switch on the bottom of the unit, you can often get a sense of a headphones noise cancelling abilities by switching it on before you play a track, you can hear the vacuum of exterior noise sucked out of the ears on the best units and these are no different. Its very notcieable. A good sign!* I havent used these on an airplane yet but they remove background road noise if walking outside and crucially for me they were able to push the loud noises of train travel into the distance, i heard a couple of train horns in a 2 hour journey when testing them but nothing i wouldnt expect and no engine noise even at the reduced volume i utlisie to preserve what hearing i have left!* There is some reduction in volume range it seems when the NC is switched on but nothing unexpected and i dont run at high volume anyway, hence the need for NC.* Battery life seems to be as advertised, i discounted the first charge cycle as i was using lots of button pressing, volume up/down etc and so the next cycle i was fairly static in my messing with the volume and controls and managed around 25 hours.* Charging is superfast, i havent gone through many charge cycles so battery life would need to be reviewd again in six months as well as sound quality as the will have been some element of burn in. I am not expecting any issues though.* A big plus, the headphones come in a zipped semi hard case that they fit snuggly into. I have been popping these in a backpack with no problems since purchase. Lots of headphones seem to come with either soft cases, a pouch - useless usually for high end sets - or a case that has expanses of space into which the unit can slip about in. Its a good case and you wont need to buy an after market one.* The headphones come with a jack lead if you want to forgo bluetooth, unless you have a device that doesnt have bluetooth i dont see the need to use it, the sound quality is good enough with BT, but its a useful and expected addition.Cons -* Lets be honest, as with all prestige brand purchases theres always an element of the brand on display showing that you have a serious piece of kit that cost X amount and you are up to speed on the latest tech etc. I dont see that with these headphones, is Boltune a well known top end brand? At the moment know, however if i saw someone rocking these headphones i would think well done you for saving £200+ on other well marketed brands.Overall i am super pleased with these headphones, they sound brilliant, Noise cancelling works just fine, the BT signal is solid and reliable, they pair easily, the battery runs true to published figures or thereabouts, the build quality is good, they are comfortable and have a durable case. Did i mention they sound brilliant? And they cost circa £50???Im a Boltune convert.***** Review Update *****I actually felt these might have some issues after a few weeks of use, they really havent, the build quality remains consistent, there are no loose fittings, the headband hasnt disentegrated, the sound quality is the same and this means with the amount of use ive had from them they have gone through the period of burn in that audiophiles talk about but i dont ever seem to notice. One point i previously neglected to mention is the auto power off, im used to using wireless buds and headphones that dont have this, then returning to them to find they need charging again. These headphones will just automatically shut down i believe its after five minutes of no signal, it might be more, i havent timed it. Either which way its another brilliant feature that isnt prominently advertised to know about!
