Extends and strengthens network
With small knowledge of wifi band theory aside, a HUGE improvement for my WRT1900AC. Its already a decent router even in its age but I just couldn't get full reception in my bedroom upstairs while the router was on the complete opposite end of the house. I moved the router to a more central location inside my utility closet and it still didn't fix it. I ordered these extended antennas and popped them on to find full reception in the master bedroom. No devices or my Apple TV struggle any more. Full 100mbps with super low latency like Im jacked straight into a modem. Im curious to see how far in my driveway its improved as well since Ive struggled with my phone grasping onto a weak wifi signal while trying to start Waze directions before. I used to have to turn wifi in the driveway off but now I might not have to...

WiFi Coverage Immediately Better
Bought these for my ASUS router, same connector. I LOVE them.I tried so many things to increase the range of my router. I bought & returned a Google WIFI setup after it did not play well with my Sonos & my phone (constantly dropping off & switching), as well as going DDWRT route to increase the output power. These antennas are the only thing that provided a simple & effective solution. I have Gigabit ethernet source from ATT on the back end & my router performs roughly 25% better with these antennas. Keep in mind, you have to be more directional with them as you are shaping the transmissions (google it if needed!) but theres four of them so just point them as needed. It worked immediately & it works well.Interesting note to remember: a 1 bar connection to N is often still 2-3x faster than a full bar connection to G so keep that in mind too when managing which part of your network you are connecting to & why something like this is so important (to push the N out farther, with the G as fallback).

Didn't Help Much for Range or Signal Strength
I was trying to get an extra 20-30-feet of range for one end of my house where I was not getting a good signal. I was hoping that adding these might help. I think the same increase could have been obtained by elevating my router the additional height that these antennas provide for a lot less money. In other words, the strength gained was almost negligible. I used WiFi Analyzer measurements, and saw a very slight increase, but definitely not worth the cost of these antennas. Money could have been better spent buying a router and using as an access point which is what I ended up doing.

Work great, but make sure you flash your router with DD-WRT or similar
I used it with a Linksys WRT1900ACS, but didn't give me what I wanted. Then I flashed my router with a DD-WRT, and this thing enabled it to get powerful signal though the house. I have a two-story house, so I lined the antennas in different angles from vertical to horizontal, and a couple angled in 45 degrees.I see some bad reviews, and I initially wanted to write one as well. But I believe the secret is to get red of the stock firmware and to flash with an open source one like dd-wrt to get the full potential of this great router and great antennas. I gave 4 stars because I still believe these antennas are over-priced!

Might as well use steel wool or aluminum foil like the ol' rabbit ear days...
The signal improvement claimed is absolutely bogus. Did not improve anything that could be observed either via usage or through quantitative testing with a high end laptop and a couple of WiFi Stumbler applications.Tested for various days, with the antennae in different positions and never experienced any gain or improvement. Since I do not know the sensitivity of my various TV's, PS3, PS4, tablet, cell phone, etc. and could not see any improvement (the farthest TV continued to drop resolution often with both Netflix and Amazon video) I used both Acrylic and Homedale to scan and record signal strength over time. Minimal, if any, improvement and not consistent enough to encourage me to give a second star...EDIT: I attached the to a WRT3200acm

Great stuff, looks hilarious though
First off, I have to mention how comically large these things are. They are about 10 inches long and an inch thick so make sure you have the space for them. I was shocked at the size of the box.Just installed them. I live in a 1br apartment currently with a lot of networks broadcasted nearby and instantly have a better speed and signal. My 5Ghz network was barely able to bee seen with all the interference but now I have full signal and 100Mbps speed from my couch which is about as far as I can get from my access point. For reference, I am using these with a Linksys WRT1900ac (v1). On a semi related note, if you are having trouble with speeds and use this router, I HIGHLY recommend changing the firmware to the DD-WRT firmware. My connections were instantly stronger and more reliable just from doing that.

Not for a Novice
Was hoping to improve vertical signal strength of my Linksys WRT1900ac; Nope. It actually made it worse. I failed to read the following description "Omni-directional design strengthens the Wi-Fi signal and then transmits it in all directions in a HORIZONTAL PLANE". Should have bought a mediocre Linksys repeater (because that's all they make) instead of these.Pros: They look cool, horizontal signal strength increased.Cons: Pricey, misleading for a Novice, vertical signal strength decreased.Would not recommend these antennas if unsure about what your getting into.

Easy fix for WiFi issues
I have been fighting with WiFi for three weeks. Even swapped out my WRT1900 for a WRT3200. Signal strength was an issue but also signal consistency. Even if the signal strength was good, it would drop periodically. Installed these and it made a big difference. Not inexpensive but is an easy fix for WiFi problems. I just wish they sold a skew of WRT models that came with these instead of the standard antennas. I mean I paid for those standard antennas and now they are in the drawer. Would be nice to be able to pay $50 more and just get these in the box instead of the standard ones

Would buy again.
What you have to remember is these will extend your wifi coverage, it varies by router/manufacturer, but most importantly it makes your existing signal a lot stronger. Specially during times when most of the people in your household are all connected at the same time these help maintain a strong signal without interruption while gaming/streaming/browsing. The devices that will see the most gain in signal strength and quality will be on the same floor as wifi router/high gain-antenna's. I would buy these for any router/extender with detachable antenna's.
