Zoomer Kitty is well loved by our 7 year old!
Our 7 year old loved this toy! It was a late summer birthday gift and has been one of her most prized possessions since she got it. She has it walking all over the house following its toy. The Kitty is sturdily built, operates as spec'd and is able to stand up to the tumble down the stairs it got when it made a wrong turn at the top. I was dubious about the electronics prior to my purchase but they really do work very well and it has already gone through one set of batteries; which declares it a thoroughly used and loved toy with no down marks for battery life. Really, it was running almost constantly till school started. Now the use has slowed down because homework comes first. Yes, I would recommend this toy and there are no choking hazard parts that I have to worry about for the 8 month old.

Zoomer Kitty is a solid win!
This was one of two things my 4 year old asked Santa for for Christmas. I wanted to get him the orange Toys R Us version, but at $42 on sale here, I couldn't pay an extra $50 for a specific color.Right out of the box, my son loved this toy. We popped on the tail and charged her up. Using my iPad wall charger, it charged in about 30 minutes. A cell phone charger would probably take a full hour. In our experience, she got about 25-35 minutes of playtime before the battery died - depending on how much we engaged with the modes or left it on auto. The kitty is cute. She meows, barks, sings, purrs... overall not too annoying to hear as a parent. You can cut the volume in half by pressing the back button while you switch it on. But my son quickly caught on and would sneak and turn it off and back on to make it loud again. lol!She does a few neat tricks. She will jump up on her hind legs, using the rubber tail for balance, and glide across the floor. This sometimes results in her falling over. She also "break dances" by popping up on her front legs, using her face for balance, and spins around to a song. UNFORTUNATELY, this has worn some of the pink paint off of her nose. Not too happy about that.Cuddle mode is sweet. You can pet her head, ears, or cheeks and her eyes will turn grey (supposed to be pink but I disagree!) and then eventually purple. She will say "I love you" which is actually "meow meow meow." hmmmThe included toy is supposed to have a sensor inside and the booklet warns against dropping it on the floor. However, it feels just like a large ping pong ball to me. She follows our hands better than the toy. You have to be about 6 inches from her face. Her eyes will turn blue in play mode. If you continue playing, she will back up and charge at the object, then wiggle her front legs back and forth to "pounce" on it.We purchased this toy, a Zoomer Meowzy, and Zoomer Chimp. Out of the three, I think this is our favorite. Definitely worth $40-60. Beyond that? I'm not so sure. It's a solid built toy, but it IS limited in what it can do. But my son loves his Zoomer Kitty right now, so that's what matters.

A Gift for the Little Girl Who Wanted a Kitty (but Daddy is Allergic to Them)
I was hoping that this cat would satisfy my daughter's desire for a real live one, since I am not in the market for a pet and hubby is allergic to cats. For a stretch this kitty was a regular plaything for my daughter. The purring is adorable and it is remarkably interactive. Unfortunately, my daughter wasn't as careful as she should've been and snapped the tail off. And then she would forget to bring it to me after she played to have me charge it. So it has been "sleeping" for some time now and her interests have shifted to other areas and toys. But it is cute and fun--and she will likely rediscover it at some point, as tends to be the cycle with kids and their toys.

Realistic Toy for the Kitty Lover
My 8-year old daughter LOVES cats, and Zoomer Kitty was at the top of her wish list this Christmas. So far, she has really enjoyed it. Zoomer came charged so she was able to play with it right out of the box. She has a toy ball on a string that Zoomer watches and pounces on like a real kitty! Her kitty sounds and actions are realistic and adorable and she is made of durable material. The only downfall of Zoomer is the time it takes to charge her and the play time you get out of a full charge. This didn't bother my daughter because of her age but I can see where a smaller child might find this frustrating. Great toy! I'm glad we got her!

Zoomer Kitty: Like your real annoying cats, only with more dancing and singing.
Oh Zoomer Kitty. Much adored by my children, ages 4 and 6. They requested Kitty for Christmas. Santa responded. It's delightful, and interesting- for about an hour. The kids still play with Zoomer Kitty, but not nearly as much as they did on that first day. And within a matter of weeks, Zoomer Kitty was sporting a broken hind leg. I contacted the manufacturer directly, as it wasn't covered under Amazon's return policy any longer, and they happily sent us a new one, no charge! However, I don't think, in retrospect, that I would have purchased Zoomer Kitty knowing what I know now- it's quite expensive for an annoying robotic cat. We have real, live annoying cats. But at least this one we can shut off. The kids also use his interactive ball/toy to beat each other with. Bonus! So, would I recommend Zoomer Kitty? At the price, no. But any little kid that enters our household is fascinated by Kitty....for about an hour and then they could care less. The initial interest wanes pretty quickly. And he really is an annoying little crap of a cat. In my honest opinion. He's loud, he sings, he meows incessantly....egads!

Fun for Many Ages
This is so fun. We have several different Zoomer animals and the kids just love them. My kids are 6, 8, 10 and 12 and they all play with these to some degree. The older ones can follow the directions and access some of the more complicated things that it is able to do, while the younger ones buy into the "magic" of it more, but cant use the higher level functions like tricks and things. Either way, they all enjoy the toy in their own way and I like that they actually use these together. This will make a great gift. It arrived super fast and well packaged, so I am really excited about this one!
