Review: Great support - I ordered this after straining my anterior tibial tendon. It shipped on time which was a huge relief to me. The brace is easy to put on and take off. The important thing to understand is that this brace is not meant for people whom have thicker ankles nor wide feet. I wear a womens shoe size 9 so I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly, nice and snug. My only hangup is that it is hard to shove your foot into your sneaker (I wear asic running shoes) it does stretch out the ankle portion of your shoe but once you have your shoe on with the brace the support is phenomenal. I am able to walk normal with zero pain vs having to shift my weight onto my other side and doing a weird half limp, half shuffle. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase, my pain has significantly decreased and I would recommend this to anyone with sprains or strains that have average/skinny feet and ankles. In the back two peices come together like panels, the foot slips through the hole so that it covers the entite front of the ankle. I think this is to get it on and off eaiser. But in the back its open with s tiny strap to keep the two sides together. The strap causes issues with it fitting in a shoe its low enough to where it hits the heel in the shoe, making it very difficult and in my take a trip hazard as the only way to wear it is to loosen your laces to wear the shoe slides on and off. In the picture given it looks like the heel is covered because there is a wrap around strap to hold the two sides together further up as the sides go up your calfs pretty high. But thr straps do not cover the heel in the back. So the picture is false advertising, or they should include pictured. I love aircast boots, but they really made this horribly. It hurts my ankle, heel and calfs to wear. It is un-useable. I have pictures if you need them. Hope this helps. I would definitely recommend this brace. ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ Pretty good for a high ankle sprain *by A***N on August 13, 2018* I recently really messed up my ankle and bought this brace to help specifically with both the low and high ankle sprain while I healed up. It really did a good job of helping me be more mobile while supporting the weak and healing joint. I had a low (regular) ankle sprain, a minor high ankle sprain, and an avulsion fracture on the inside of my ankle as well. Once I could stand the lateral pressure from any brace on the inside of my ankle this quickly became my go-to brace for moving around. Now that I've recovered a bit more I've used it to run a few miles, and it works well enough for that too. The only downside is that it puts some backward pressure on my shin after a bit which isn't ideal after a mile or two. I've since switched to a basic neoprene brace that provides minimal support. Overall, it's a great brace - especially if you have a minor high ankle sprain.
