Worked like a champ. **Q: Want to drill granite countertop that is 1 1/4 inches thick. The specs for this bit say it will drill 1" deep. How do I drill to the depth needed?** A: I don't think these drills will work, unless you can find some way to drill the last 1/4 from the other side and make the holes match. The drills have a habit of sliding until the hole is started. I drilled a same/size hole in a piece of wood and placed the wood hole where I wanted to drill. The wood held the bit in place until I got the hole started. **Q: looking to see if these will cut good holes in glass blocks** A: I used them to drill holes in Patron Bottles worked really well for that. Don't know how thick your glass blocks are but they are quality bits I would give them a try if it was me! I would put a piece of paper tape on area to be drilled to keep it from chipping and keep the glass wet!
