I find it hard to believe any of the reviews that indicate a strong shock. The first package I received had no shock in any of the packs. Hoping it was a fluke, I ordered a replacement. A couple of the packs had a very slight shock the first time I tried them but then stopped working after the first pull, or maybe the batteries were so low they only had enough energy for a light shock with long wait times between attempts.

Pretty good little shock and my grandson figured it right out.

These packs of gum look great when you see them and at a glance represent popular brands. Unfortunately upon opening and trying them out, one worked good, two worked very mildly which makes me think the batteries were about worn out in them or they had a bad connection, and the final one didn't work at all. I tried to find a way to look inside of the one that didn't work which you can do at the end where the foil is and saw a disconnected wire! I could not find any way to look further without taking the whole pack apart which I didn't want to do. It's a shame because if these were made a little nicer (and maybe had some instructions on what the inside looked like) you would be able to easily put new batteries in them when they stop working instead of just sadly throwing them away.

One of the 4 didn’t work but from the reviews I was expecting that so that is why I bought the 4 pack. My son is going to love them! He is a jokester!

They don’t really work

Some of these give a real zap! Depends on how you grab it and pull. Made my whole hand tingle for several minutes afterwards.

Great product reminds me of when I was a kid

I ordered these for my son who is a huge prankster. I remembered these from when I was young & they were so much fun to get people with. I thought he would love them for sure. He does love them & can't wait to trick people, but unfortunately only half of them worked. You get 4 for $8.50 but I ended up paying for 2 at $4.25 each which is obviously a very terrible deal & returning them is probably more hassle than it's worth. So, we will keep the 2 & throw away the 2 that dont work.
