I used to have to turn on my water and then set alarms on my phone to ensure I turned it off. Now this sentry automatically fills the pool and turns it off when it is to level. Very easy to set up and the "hardest" part is deciding where to set it and all you have to do is keep an eye on it and set it where you want it then dial it in. Never wake up to a low water level in your pool again.

**Q: hwhat do you adjust to keep it from overfilling?**
A: The float, which rises and falls with the level of the pool, has a long plastic stem which can be twisted, by hand, clockwise or counter CW to adjust the level.

**Q: Will this work on an above ground pool?**
A: Depends on the width of the lip of your above-ground pool. It isn't designed for above-grounds but, could potentially work with a wide space to set the weighted down base upon.

**Q: I see that this is metal,  can it be used in a salt water pool?**
A: This is used on our salt water pool and has stood the test of time.  Our neighbors purchased it for their salt water pool as well.

**Q: Is there an extension collar?**
A: No.  Your hose is the extension on top and if you need it higher you can put it on top of a brick or mat.

Very easy to set up and the "hardest" part is deciding where to set it and all you have to do is keep an eye on it and set it where you want it then dial it in. I would have given it 5-Stars except that the hose end could have been better. Mine broke off but I was able to fix it by gluing on a 1/2-in Plastic Threaded Drip Irrigation Female Adapter available from Lowe's. The manufacturer does have a replacement (Part 503022) but it's about $15. The adapter from Lowe's is $2.38. Other than that, It works very well.
