Pukka Organic Herbal Supplements Mushroom Immune (Gold) 60 Capsules

Other than being a little pricey (as of this review one bottle of 60 capsules costs around $31.00), I can't find anything wrong with this mushroom supplement. I've reviewed a LOT of mushroom supplements and this one is as good as any of the others. Since another reviewer said it, "smelled rotten like manure mixed with rotting eggs", I broke a couple of capsules apart to actually see the mushroom powder in my hand, and then taste it in it's powder form. It smelled fine - no bad smell whatsoever, and actually smelled good. I tasted it by licking all of it off my hand with my tongue and it tasted just fine. I don't know what went wrong with the bottle she received, but I can't find anything wrong with these at all. Honestly, if I though it was bad I'd say so. I've been putting a various blend of powdered mushrooms in my morning coffee everyday for the past year or so and will be doing the same with this. I don't like swallowing pills so I take the powder out of the capsules and put it directly into my coffee and I can't taste it at all and neither can hubs. I think this supplement has a good blend of mushrooms known to be very beneficial to health and I am glad I got the opportunity to review it.

These are the typical capsule size and I am able to swallow them without any issues, although I don't normally have difficulty swallowing vitamins. There is a mushroom scent to it . . . sort of a fresh smell to me but I like the smell of mushrooms. I had tried another supplement and this seemed to smell better . . . less dusty. Since there is no daily value established for mushrooms I take half the dosage the manufacturer recommends, which is 2 capsules (I take one a day). I take them on an empty stomach with a glass of water before food and have had no stomach upset or other issues.I don't feel particularly better but I also haven't had the typical illnesses that I normally get in the winter. My job deals with children so that is impressive.Best before 6/2022 so plenty of time to use before they expire.

These capsules are clear and you can see the ground up mushrooms. I feel that this supplement is indeed helping with my immune system and general health.

I got this item for my Mom who is very holistic and loves medicinal mushrooms, however upon opening the bottle, she said it smelled rotten like manure mixed with rotting eggs and said it did not smell natural. Worse, when she put the capsule in her mouth to swallow it, she tasted how putrid and pungent the capsule tasted and spit it out. I don't know if she got a bad batch or if this is the way these mushroom capsules smell and taste but she was not going to put something in her body that smelled and tasted rancid. Medicinal mushrooms are suppose to taste bitter and not only that when you take capsule forms, you are NOT supposed to taste anything! Highly disappointed!

I have used Pukka branded products before, so I was curious about this Pukka Organic Herbal Supplements Mushroom Immune (Gold). They are easy to swallow with some fluid, and I haven't experienced any digestive upsets, nasty "vitamin burps" or nausea, etc. with them. I like that they can help support your immune system, and there's a good variety of effective, high quality mushrooms in them. I've been taking them for the past few weeks with no bad side effects whatsoever, and they seem to be of good quality - so they get two thumbs up from me!

I have multiple kinds of their teas stocked up at all times. I never knew they made supplements, but I supposed that makes sense. These capsules are easy to swallow. And the price is not bad for mushroom supplements. These are good mushrooms, but I would have like to see lion’s mane or chaga instead of shiitake mushrooms. Shiitake is good, but they are easy to incorporate into dishes while cooking, so they are easier to consume without it being a part of the supplement.

These mushroom capsules are a great way to get some much needed vitamins in, especially during the times of the year when illness is more easily caught! Pukka is a wonderful company whom I have used for years, and I trust their products. I approve that these are organic and easy to swallow, five stars!
