Product quality reaches a new low
Not impressed with this product. After 7 months of daily use the plastic gear mechanism that controls the diaper roll does not advance the roll and makes constant clicking. To get this to work you have to stuff the diaper down with your hands advancing the roll manually, and then using the plastic knob to seal the diaper. We just threw this POS away in the dumpster and gone back to the free Walmart bag disposal system. This product tries too hard to be an "exclusive" and you can't find the refills anywhere buy Babies R Us which is 45 mins away. After several attempts to contact the company regarding this problem, they suggested I contact Amazon to see about a replacement which didn't work because its a manufacturers problem, not Amazons. Customer satisfaction drives product sales, and I am one unhappy customer so don't expect any more sales from me or my friends, family and colleagues.

Nice idea, really difficult to use
This is the only baby item I would pick differently if I did it again. We've had it for about 6 months and hate it more every time it fills up.When it works, it works as advertised. The problem is when it works.Setting the plastic up is a huge pain. Once it's aligned so it seals on both sides, it doesn't stay put, so sometimes you'll be in the middle of a roll and all of a sudden diapers fall out the side of the plastic and you have to open it all up to fix it. The roll of plastic also does not match the capacity of the pail, so you have to open it up and cut off part of the roll when it fills, which usually pulls the plastic out of alignment leading to the sealing problem I mentioned before. It's a great concept, but so annoying that we've decided to just get a small trash can to empty every morning when we run out of refills for it. Who has to refill the plastic is a bigger discussion than who has to take out the poopy diapers that have fallen out of it.

Please know what you are buying
As of now there are 5 one star reviews about this product. They are all true.I am giving this product 3 stars for a reason.Does it fail to seal diapers and end up selling? Yes. This is the main reason people don't like this. I have twins that are in number 2 diapers and a toddler in number 4. If I put my twins' diapers in this product it it great. I have never had it fail. If I put number 4 diapers it fails pretty much every time - diaper doesn't go through, film doesn't seal, I have to spend time trying to fix it and it smells.I learned my lesson and only use it for diapers that are number 1, 2 and 3. Personally it works better that diaper Genie for those diapers. We use diaper Genie for larger diapers. Please buy this knowing that it will most likely work with smaller diapers, speaking from my experience. This product is not inexpensive, so spending money on it is not wise if you cannot use it over size 3 diapers unless your child will be potty trained by then.

but just empty it and all is good again.
Completely gets rid of diaper smell (and keeps the dog from getting into them). Can be difficult to get diapers in when the bucket is full, but just empty it and all is good again.

Not what we expected (twin diaper overload)!
I was so excited to buy this innovative diaper pail. With twins, we go through so many diapers! Here is my review: 1) tedious to load new seals. Who wants to do all this? We need fast and easy! 2) larger load diapers just don't fit the system and it cranks, creeks and is just awful! 3) overnight diapers I just dump in the pail, skipping the sealer system because I know they won't fit. 4) smell- well let's just say I have my nanny empting every single day because this sealer system just does not cut it. Way too thin and flimsy. 5) the cost. Even higher priced, TT again is a big FAIL for our family! :(

Doesn't work for toddlers
I bought this at BRU. I read every review I could find, and thought it'd work for us no problem. WRONG! DS is in size 5's, and it doesn't matter how small you fold the diaper, they still fall out one side or the other. The film is not strong enough to contain the diaper or the smell. We only kept it because #2 is due in October and we're fairly sure it'll work ok for those diapers. We only use it for dirty ones to help save money on the film.Overall I'm pretty disappointed in this and the price we paid. The plastic absorbs the odor immediately, so even after you've emptied the pail the smell remains. You have to bleach it to remove the smell. The 'notch' to cut the bag doesn't work AT ALL, you need scissors. And in order to successfully cut the dirty ones loose, you must turn the knob, which wastes film. The mechanism itself works just fine for us, and I like the idea/design. At first, we had to push the diaper down while turning but then we realized we weren't folding it small enough. It's bulky, but the sleek design keep it from being an eye sore. I hope they redesign the film to be thicker and stronger, otherwise this will be a huge waste of money.
