Great inexpensive addition to your smart house
I was able to setup and use this with Alexa very quickly. My not-smart Samsung TV was a quick easy setup, and I had no issues with the voice commands. Things like "turn up the TV volume by 10" intuitively worked without any weird customizations. My AC unit was a little trickier, as my AC manufacturer wasn't in the pre-defined list and custom AC units in the app only let you turn them on or off. To get around this I added a custom fan instead of AC which let me map all the buttons on my remote. Alexa still only really understood turning the AC on and off, which for me was good enough. Not sure why this unit has such a low rating, sure it takes a little experimenting to learn the ins and outs but thats most tech. I think this is a fantastic cute little device for the price.

Small and handy IR Controller
Cool little device that controls all your IR gear via the app or as I did connected via a home automation system. Setup was fairly easy and is already programed with most any d vice you want to use. Also it's small so isn't very noticeable.

Setup is annoying, but works well after initial pains
This device lets me control the lights in my theater (which have an IR remote) through my local network, which is awesome—I control this device through Home Assistant, and have it set up so my lights, Apple TV, AV preamp, amplifier, projector, and lights all turn on/off together, which is really convenient. The latency (delay) is basically not noticeable, and very livable.Fair warning, you're forced to download the Broadlink app just to get this device set up on your home WiFi network, and the app is slow, clunky, and doesn't work perfectly. It took me a solid 20 minutes just to get this thing on my WiFi, which is way too long (especially when setup for other smart devices can be much faster). Also, because I'm using this with Home Assistant, I needed to reserve an IP address for this thing and do some other setup that some may find nontrivial. Now that I have this device set up, though, I'm really glad I have it, and it's definitely worth the cost. I don't think I'm missing anything from not having the latest model, the RM4

Data base is useless
I have dozens of devices and I have not found one that this works with without having to use a remote. I got this because my Fisher stereo system has no remote and I thought this would work but because their database is worthless it cannot be used with anything without already having a remote which makes no sense why would I need this if I had a remote

It works, but the directions are not great.
It works, but it's not easy to setup and the instructions to do so are not great. But it does work. I use this to allow Google to have access to my IR candles. So I can say "OK Google, Light The Candles" and it does it. and then "OK Google, Blow Out The Candles" and it does.
