They have a vibrant color. I'm a bit disappointed in the variety of colors. There is only green and purple and clear/white, no pink or blue. I'm not sure how they will do in a tumbler. They are a gift for my 12 year old that is super interested in stones and has a tumbler coming for Christmas. We will try at half the time in hopes of not losing as much of the stone as I've read from other answered questions. I rinsed them for a better show of color variance. The package was busted but there was only minimal chipping.
