WOW ! I am blown away by these boots !
i was looking for a new pair of steel toe work boots for my job as a certified HVAC repair technician. I wanted something sturdy of course but not full boot length if at all possible. When you're sweating in a 120 degree attic in south Louisiana every square inch of clothing or footwear counts. I've been through 2 pair of Dr. Martens industrial full length boots and I wanted to go a different way. Those are great boots by the way, but so far these Timberlands are superior in every way except for a small bit of ankle padding. The Timberlands are more comfortable the first second I laced them up than the Dr. Martens were after more than a year of breaking them in. They're also cheaper. Time will tell how they hold up which is certainly a huge deal but as far as comfort out of the box I am very impressed.1.) These are some great looking boots in my opinion. I'd have no problems putting on a nice pair of jeans and wearing them out to dinner.2.) All of the stitching is very heavy duty. That's plain to see to the naked eye.3.) The leather is soft and supple out of the box. I plan to condition and oil them of course but I don't think it's something you'd have to do if you didn't want to.4.) The comfort is by far the best feature of these boots. I have an average foot. My arches are neither high nor flat. These boots literally feel as nice as any of my athletic shoes. Every other pair of steel toe boots I've owned pinch the bejesus out of my feet where the steel toe ends on the top of my foot. This goes on for a while until they are completely broken in. These do not. I'm able to squat down with no pain.5.) The ankle support is more than sufficient. You certainly can't expect these to match some that lace up to mid leg but you know that going in.As far as cons go, at this time I have none. The price maybe ? But these are really not expensive when comparing to similar quality work boots so I don't think that's fair to say. Everything could always be cheaper but if you want to play you've gotta pay. Quality boots are not cheap. I plan to update this review after 6 months whether my thoughts are positive or negative.

Good work boots
My husband likes these for work, they are comfortable, and the last pair lasted him for about a year.

Great price and great boot!
This is my third pair of Timberland Pro Barstow Wedge Alloy ST Work Boots. I work in these boots for commercial construction, interior and exterior. These boots provide great support and do not hurt at all. From working on my knees, climbing ladders and scaffold, wet environments, to long periods of being on my feet, these boots have continued to provide support and anti-fatigue.I work an average of 10-12 hrs per day, 5 days a week. My last pair began to show steel through the toe at nine months. However, the tread is still in good shape. I've worn Danner, Keen, Wolverine, and Red Wing boots for the past 17 years. None of these has stood the test of the job-site like the Timberland Pro boots. My new boots arrived today and are already at work on my feet. For the price, these boots are a wise investment for the health of your feet, back, and posture. Three pair of boots in 40 months is not bad.

Boot: Uncomfortable
I have been buying these timberlands in the non Steele toe version for years. Probably have bought 18 or 19 pairs of these over the years. I work in sales for gen contractors engineers plumbers and electricians so I go to Jobsites meeting w costumers and do walk through etc so I’m not rigorously working this Boot. Casual wear and walking on job sites and in truck. But wear a boot from morning until I get home if I’m going to job sites all day. Usually I do no Steel toe and hope nobody asks me if they are, if they ever did ask- I just say yes they are. Finally I said well let’s try the steel toe, the. I have worry if safety guy shows onsite and asks me.But let me tell ya these were like wearing a brick - immediate regret. Nothing about this boot seemed similar at all to the non steel toe version. You have no movement or flex in the base, causing stress to your feet and upper back. The sole is hard as rock. They look exactly as advertised. I do appreciate the lace tie bars for top two lace holes makes them easier to get on and off without tryna go out em back through the top holes every time you put em on. So I’ll give em that.I buy a new pair of boots, always these Timberland non steel toe, every 6 months for about 10 years . They are usually like walking on cloud, sole will wear out, and just replace them at 6 months bc they are only line 100 bucks. But these are so uncomfortable after trying to wear them in, thinking steel toe version needs break in, I had to go see my Chiro for my back

Buy something else!
Poor fit, poor stitching quality. These aren’t great work boots. After only a month of wearing them I’ve decided to purchase different boots and throw this in the trash.
