The BIC America DV 84 250 Watt 2-Way 8 In. Slim-Design Tower Speaker for Home Theater and Music are star performers for both music and video. They can be used in the front and rear channels of a home theater system. Like the DV64's, the DV 84's are an excellent match to the highly acclaimed DV62CLR-S center speaker. Their active dual 8-in. woofers provide even greater output than the DV64 towers. Their dual 8-in. passive radiators provide extra low bass extension. Like the DV64's, the DV 84 towers have MDF cabinets and are video shielded.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How does this speaker compare to the Acoustech PL-89 speakers?**
A: I wouldn't be able to give you a comparison because I haven't had  the opportunity to hear these new towers. They are beautiful and seem to be well received from people who own them. I can say that the DV84 towers are outstanding with excellent mid range. The Bass is shockingly full for a tower speaker. I think either speaker would serve you well. The PL-89 is newer,and appears to have a nicer finish. The BIC company has been making solid speakers for many years so it's your choice.

**Q: I have a 50w per channel receiver.  Will that be enough to push these speakers?**
A: Yes. These speakers are efficient and will get more than loud enough with your receiver as long as you're not looking for ear bleeding levels.

**Q: How tall are these and how much do they weigh? every website seems to say differnt**
A: Although I haven't  weighed them, I just now measured them at 43.5 inches in height, on the floor, no stands. It's a wood floor, not carpet.For what it's worth, they are heavy. You don't have the impression that they're "cheap"; you certainly feel that you've got what you paid for.

**Q: This a good setup to buy? 2x bic america venturi dv84 + bic america f12 12" 475-watt + denon avr-s510bt receiver. will everything work well together?**
A: Yes that setup will sound great, I have an older model denon with the dv84's and from low to high volume it sounds great.
