The toughest decision I had to make was which one of these to buy. I've had a 2007 MacBook Pro, which I'm now using again because of this product. Its problem was the power supply. Pay $900 to fix? Or wait until I had enough to go through the painful process of migrating to a new MacBook Pro. Migrating seemed a waste to me. I travel a lot so I can break most laptops in 6 months- this thing has lasted four years.Long story short, this product gave me a third option -- buy a compatible battery charger, and pick up an extra battery so you're never completely down.if you have a 2007 MacBook Pro with a power supply problem, it charges those batteries, even though the part number is not listed. If your MacBook works only off a charged battery and not from being plugged in, this does the job of keeping the battery charged quite well.One thing irritates me - it's hard to tell if the plug from the charge to the battery is fully in place. So one star off for that, because a couple of times, I left for the appropriate amount of time to charge when I only had one battery with me, only to return to find no charging was happening.Another tip - set your "best batter life" energy saver sessions to sleep just above the rate of distraction. Stretches my 4 hours of battery life into six.

This works extremely well to charge my old powerbook G4's battery. Due to it, I don't have to pay someone over 200 dollars to replace the logic board to get my powerbook to charge it's battery any more. Sadly, I can't charge my powerbook while it's running anymore, but at the very least it works again.

Great alternative to replacing my computer due to a short circuit in the motherboard causing the plug wires to fry on a daily basis. It works the same way as charging through the computer.

I love this little device as it revived my old 1.33 ibook g4's battery! I would give this baby 5 stars if the cable that connected to the dead battery attached more securely;
