The Blazer GT8000 Big Shot butane torch is a refillable, gas torch with a brass frame nozzle, and attachable base. The torch creates a precise flame, emitting from a nozzle head, allowing direct heat application to an object. It features a gas-flow adjustment dial to control flame length.The torch houses a piezoelectric ignition system, which is based on a pressurized molecular reaction, and requires no electrical connection. **Q: it says you can manually apply a safety. does that mean i don't have to worry about fumbling with a safety when i ignite it?**
A: What they're talking about is a little red cap that comes with the torch that locks the gas valve into place so it can't spin. it's a little red clip that clips over the igniter and knob in the back

**Q: Has anyone used a different brand of butane other than Blazer with this torch? All Blazer butane is on backorder.**
A: I use Power 5x&it works awesome. U can get a case of 12 cans on Amazon for around $30. I've been buying&using this brand for a couple years now&buy it by the case(12). I use several different torches all day long&this Blazer torch is my favorite by far. I know I'm answering a question about the fuel used in this torch,but I have to say I would recommend this torch to ANYONE looking for an awesome,HOT,pin point torch. I use it more than any of the other 7 we use at work,i,including a dual head flame throwing torch. This Blazer blows all others out of the water! We have bought&returned more than 14 torches in the last yr&this is by far the favorite around the shop! 10 stars for this bad boy&the Power 5x brand fuel can't be beat for the price. I give the Power5x 10 stars as well!

**Q: With use on titanium, how is the noise level compared to a plumbers propane torch?**
A: Its honestly not as loud. Ive had this torch for about 3 months now, only thing to watch out for is to make sure the knob is COMPLETELY tightened otherwise the gas will leak out...found that out the hard way >.>    but as for noise id put a plumbers torch at 8/10 and this torch a 5/10 for noise

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best torch I've bought lately

this is the 4th torch I've bought in the last 6 months. It's also by far the best. It's definitely worth it to spend a little more on this one than save a few dollars on something that is $20-40 and you'll be replacing in 3-6 months anyway (or the igniter goes out, which is very annoying to use a lighter to light your torch). UPDATE: After owning this torch for over 4 months now, I figured I'd submit a follow up for my review. There is not much to say though- this torch is exactly like the day I bought it; no signs of wear. I use it several times a day, every single day. Another great thing about the torch I've noticed is that it regulates the gas better than any torch I've had, in the sense that it allows you to use every last bit. When the torch is almost empty, while not quite full strength, it still gives you a decent flame until it's completely empty. And as many people suggest to empty the torch before refilling it, you won't waste that last bit of fuel like with other torches, where the flame just slowly goes down to an unusably small flame for the last 10% of the gas. Every other torch I have owned, regardless of initial quality, have all started to show major signs of wear within 2 months. This torch might be a little more expensive than the others, but if you plan on using it much, it'll be cheaper in the long run as you won't be replacing it. 2 YEAR UPDATE: I have now owned this torch for two years, and I'm happy to report that it has worked flawlessly the entire time. A friend recently purchased a new one, and if you look at mine side by side with his, they look pretty much identical; really shows how well this torch has held up in the long term. I have read that by doing a couple things you can prolong the life of your torch, which I have always done. Whenever refilling, first allow it to run out completely, and then take a small screwdriver or similar tool and purge the last bit of the butane out- then refill it. Then wait at least 20-25 minutes to allow the gas to warm up inside the torch; it is very cold and there is the possibility of liquid butane being sent through the nozzle of your torch, which will damage it.
