KidKraft Sing Along Mic & Amp Set with Speaker, Crowd Noises and Streaming Music Capability, Gift for Ages 3+

We bought this for our daughter. She loves to sing, and this is a very cute and pretty sturdy toy. The mic works well compared to others we have had in the past. The little buttons on the bottom are for applause or boo. It works great with our ipad and iphones for mp3 music. We've even let Amazon music play through it. The lights are very cute, and the best part is the volume control! Battery life is doing well. We put in batteries in July when we purchased it, and they are still going strong with her using it every day.

After letting my grandkids use it i had to buy a second one to avoid fights! They love it! The sound is Ok if they keep the mike a little bit away from their mouths and don’t yell into it! Remember, it’s a toy, not professional equipment!

I purchased this for my son for his birthday. He has been wanting a microphone and I thought this would be a great starter one for him. It is very easy to assemble and even includes batteries. There is a spot to plug the microphone in as well as an mp3 player or phone. I love that the stand adjusts and can extend pretty high. There are two sound buttons, a cheering crowd...and a booing crowd. I'm not sure the booing is very appropriate for a child but my son laughed. The speaker does not amplify very loud but it doesn't sound too bad. My son loves it so we are happy with the purchase. The only negative is that the stand came apart and so it is hard to adjust the height now.

My wife and i bought this as a donation for a preschool class we sponsor. We saw it used once and were not really impressedI had wanted to get something a little more substantial, because you get what you pay for.The unit is powered by 4 batteries, which are included. There is no way to plug this in, so you can either buy more batteries or use rechargeables.Microphone is connected with a 1/8" plug, there is a 1/8" for Aux input. However, the speaker is not very loud, and you need to put the microphone extremely close to the mouth in order to be heard.There rare two pedals, 'Applause' and 'Boo', or something like that - which are really unnecessary and drown out the singer.The 3 piece mic stand comes apart about as easily as the Brown defense.

This was absolutely perfect for my budding star of a 3 year old. It works great, easy to use and set up, and a whole lot of fun! So glad I bought this!

Perfect for the kids. Kids absolutely loved it. Adjustable stand. I thought the "boo-ing" sound might be a little discouraging to them, but they were just having a ball and laughing at it. Nice little speaker for the kids. Microphone does have to be placed right up to the mouth but kids didn't care.

This is the first time a KidKraft purchase has been a total disappointment, and it comes as a surprise since we have so many of their products.The KidKradt Sing Along Mic and Amp was purchased for kids aged 4 and 6. It would be perfect for them if it weren't so awful. The sound quality is terrible, so plugging in your iPhone is pretty useless since anything you play sounds under water. The microphone has almost no pickup, and the kids practically have to put their mouth on it for their voices to come through.The stand is height adjustable, if by height adjustable you only mean some poles connect into each other and then slide down. There is no locking mechanism, or anything to tighten to prevent the poles from dropping through. We've tried putting a rubber band and tape on the extension pole, but I think we'll have to actually put in an anchor screw to keep it from constantly sliding down, which then means the kids can't adjust the height when they share it. But right now my 6 year old has to hold the pole up to use it so it's tall enough to pick up her voice; when the top pole drops down, it ends up too short for the 4 year old.There are a couple buttons on the bottom with cheers, jeers, and some "lovely" generic beats. Funny enough, the sound quality on those is better than anything coming through the mic or a connected phone, but it's too easy to accidentally kick them while 'performing' because, again, they have to get so close to the mic.I hate this microphone and it was a major let down when we put it together. We bought it early for a Christmas present, so I'm pretty sure we can't return it now, and my kids are attached to it. But please don't waste your money on this one.

We ordered this as a gift for our three year old. It's cute and the lights at the base are a nice touch, but the microphone is very quiet. Even with the volume turned all the way up, it's hard to hear anything -- what's the point? Also, the stand is flimsy and doesn't stay at the height you select very well.Would not recommend.

I ordered this for my granddaughters birthday, it worked for may a half hour and now sounds like a cheap piece of crap and can't play music with it...
