Stant OE Equivalent Fuel Cap, black

I needed this for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am that was showing a Service Engine Soon Light. I took my car to Auto Zone for a free diagnosis check which show an evaporative emission service code. I read something on the net stating to fix this issue I needed to get a new gas cap. The original gas cap didn't allow me to turn to hear any clicks. I was able to do that with this new one. I wasn't sure if the gas cap fixed the issue until the light disappear a few days later. I was happy to see that light gone from my sight. This cap really fixed the issue.

Simple solution for P0457 code for my vehicle. Great fit and material quality, only improvement would be to have a tethering strap to reduce chances that you forget to replace after fueling your car but I purchased knowing it did not have that feature. Would purchase again.

I have a 2003 Envoy that has had a long-time problem with a "Service Engine Soon" light. Finally a helpful mechanic told me that the problem might be the gas cap (don't get me started on how GM engineered a Service Engine light linkage to a gas cap!). Anyways, I went to Amazon.com and found this gas cap, with the helpful car model guide to ensure it would fit my car, and ordered the gas cap. The price was very reasonable and it works wonderfully. The best part is that my "Service Engine Soon" light has stayed off ever since putting on the new cap. Best money I have spent in a long time!

It could use the little plastic string that hold it to the car. it easy to leave it at the gas station. must work ok no engine check light came on. good enough for a 16 year old Montana van for around the $12.00 range

The engine light on my Pontiac came on. The problem was that the gas cap didn't screw on tightly, creating a leak. I purchased and installed this replacement cap and after driving a few miles the engine code cleared and light turned off. Problem solved!

Got this for my 01 cavalier and it works, but unscrewing it takes herculean force at the very end. I'm pretty strong, so unless you're pretty strong, you may want to rethink this. There is also a possibly my car's fuel neck is a turd, like the rest of the car, but since the last fuel cap was fine and just leaking a little, I'm not so sure. In conclusion, be strong, OR if you need a fuel cap to motivate you to cross fit, buy this.

It fits well in my 2005 pontiac sunfire. I have no problem unscrewing it and putting it back on. I got this to replace my old cap as I was getting a EVAP code.
